I understand your point about the contrast in styles between the two organizations, although I believe that some of your observations were truly nitpicks (Vox's exquisite blend marred by weak lower voices? Give me a freakin' break ...), but the thing that really annoyed me about your review is that it completely failed to take into account (much less mention) the total impact of the performance on the audience. A spontaneous standing ovation and an after-show lobby full of beaming patrons bubbling over with compliments isn't what you'd expect from having read it. And unfortunately, I suspect that your rather pedantic focus on vocal imperfections and your over-analysis/emphasis of sound and style issues is going to keep potential audience members away, who are going to read your review and say "Oh well, it obviously wasn't THAT good," which simply isn't true. Which one of us - you or me - completely missed the bigger picture?

What happens at the Riffe Center stays at the Riffe Center.(By Lynn Green)
Sounds like you should have left your UNFAIR and BIASED review there!!!

Lynn Green -

Did you attend the same concert as me? This performance was fantastic and showcased a fine balance of the choir and CJO. Your rambling review was nothing close to what I enjoyed.

Many of these comments sound like chorus members or their partners who cannot handle a luke-warm review. The chorus portion was largely recycled numbers from old concerts and the same formula of ending the concert with a splashy finale with the chorus wearing sequins.

I was at the final show and enjoyed it tremendously (and no I don't have a partner in the chorus...I am a straight woman who happens to enjoy great music). The reviewer must have other issues than the performance. The show I saw was fantastic. Taking into consideration the two groups only rehersed together twice before the show I would say it was an impressive effort. So I am taking this review with a grain of salt because I don't need some nit picky wannabe music critic telling me whether I had a great time or not.

Wow. This review is SO off the mark. You obviously have no sense of humor. The final number was supposed to be a spoof of all the Vegas cliches. Maybe you were too busy being homo-phobic to get it?
