Fellow crooks overlooking the criminal activities of one of their own. With Rangel, Waters and now Dodd getting a free pass for all their activities and the fat f/ag Barney Frank not being held accountable for his part of the fannie/freddie mess it's kind of hard for the word ethics to be used to describe the ethics investigating commitee. I wonder how much different it might have been if this political slime would have been an independent or republican?

It would have probably turned out the same, regardless of party. I'm a conservative, but I'm having a hard time believing you could find one honest man/woman in the White House, Senate, or House of Representatives. When you arrive elected in D.C., you're taken to a backroom and told to raise your right hand and swear that you will be a liar, cheat and money hungry, power grabbing crook and it don't hurt to like young page boys, with a wide stance in public restrooms and run a que/ER bordello out of your apartment either.

When I said "fellow crooks", I meant politicians in general. I was also pointing out the disparety in punishments. There's the difference in what politicians are expected to answer for versus a normal citizen and a bigger difference just between parties. One example would be Conrad Burns of Montana and Harry Reid of Nevada. Both accepted bribes from the same lobbyist. One took a 150,000 dollars and the other took 85,000 dollars. Conrad was a Republican and Reid is a Democrat. Want to guess who faced a big investigation, ended up returning all the money and lost his job in Congress and which one said he shouldn't have to give the money up and still has his job and never had to answer why he took the money?
