Christie Brinkley was married to PETER Cook, not David Cook!

<She gets full custody; David Cook gets $2.1 million>

“she may be a murderer, but....”

So let's expect Christie 5th marriage or she might go back to Billy Joel #4, she still looks great, nice smile. Peter will continue checking porn and finding a new young girl will be no problem because he got $$$ and the looks.
Hey peter can you put some money under my rock too???

She got EXACTLY what she wanted: a national audience to hear her side and silenced him to a large extent...

Hopefully, the affected children will be able to respect both parents going forward...

So Cook got everything he wanted - interesting. He proves that he used the fair haired beauty for money, cache and prestige. I thought he wanted his kids! Amazing how this schmuck gets to walk away financially enriched. Small price to pay to unload that baggage. Christie - take it slow and find someone that is worthy of the kind person you are.
Good deal for him

What IS that wonderful German word for people who get their enjoyment out of the suffering of other people? Whatever the word, it seems to define the "entertainment" industry in this country today.

They looked like the perfect couple. Guess it shows once again that looks aren't everything. And now it's costing Christie big dollars to rid herself of another gold-digger.

He obviously didn't give a damn about the kids or he never would have settled. Some father.

Good luck, Christie. And remember, next time around (if there is one):

CHOOSE WISELY!

I understand what you mean. In all fairness he did give her the opportunity to increase her net worth by investing wisely in Hamptons properties that made millions for both.

She may very well gave him a great life, however he did contribute in his own way...

The phoney self-righteous Brinkley may have paid a larger price than money in going to open court.
With 4 failed marriages, she obviously is no saint. No one is! One day her 2 young children may hate her for publically humiliating the father they loved and the only one they have ever known. Their mother is a vindictive, angry shrew who cannot stand the thoughts of her man choosing someone else over her!(I read she had an affair while married, but I suppose this is 'different'...at least in her mind)
Cook probably tired of being "Mr Brinkley" and looked for affirmation elsewhere as he got none at home.No where is it said she has been a good wife....or ever was!I think their marriage was all about "stroking Christie."
If Bill Clinton can move foreward after his national disgrace, I hope Peter can. He can do better than Brinkley. He did not kill anyone and many who point a finger are guilty of the same thing!

It's too bad they didn't settle it before Peter Cook had to be humiliated on the stand. But that was his choice. He had a lot of guts to go up there, knowing that he would forever be branded as the "masturbating web cam guy". Why would a man do such a thing? One, because he loves his kids and wants to spend more time with them, as any devoted father would. Two, because he deeply felt, and possibly had a right to feel that his expertise in real estate helped to increase the value of assets purchased with Christie's money - another valid point. A very tough call to go to trial. But, you know what they say....hell hath no fury.........Good luck Peter - no man is perfect - and even with the mistakes he made, he probably did and still loves his kids..........

A couple of classy people. She gets to put on her case and savage him and then settle (hopefully she got her 2.1mm worth of retribution and some great free publicity) and he gets what he wanted all the time, the money. We should care about these people. They are important. Just ask them.

LOL - Es heisst "Schadenfreude" auf gutes Deutsch. The word that means that someone gets off on another's troules.

To be honest, something bothered me about this case. Brinkley seemed to be way over the top self-righteous and obviously pious before the cameras.
However, as anyone knows, the case is won before the court, and not before the court of Long Island opinion.

Well, there goes husband number 4. I wonder who will be number 5 for this serial wife!

Seriously, with that kind of a marriage track record, she should take a close look in the mirror. Is her problem the men she chooses to mate, or is it within herself?
