Dakota and Elle Fanning play true life twins

This is one of the most powerful and moving scripts I've read in a long time, and it's not by chance that the project has attracted a cast of such a high caliber Dakota Fanning is to team up with her sister Elle Fanning to appear as twins in the true life story Hurricane Mary alongside Chris Cooper , William H. Chris Cooper's statements about "powerful and moving script" and "Oscar" talk is reminiscent of the fawning articles heard initially about "Hounddog". God grant that "Hurricane Mary" doesn't follow a similar pattern! It's just that since that despicable film was made, nothing less can be ruled out automatically. We'll see. A heavy drama, though, is the last thing that Dakota needs right now... even for the long-awaited chance to work directly with her sister.

Since I posted that comment four hours ago, I have learned that, despite what everyone believed, Dakota will NOT be acting directly with her sister in "Hurrican Mary". To quote MTV Movie News (dated April 4th): "'I actually wouldn't be in the movie. I'll be doing some voiceover work,' she cryptically clarified...". Now, why would it be that she'd be forgoing something that she and her sister always wanted to do before... to act together in the same scenes AS sisters?

Dear Miley: It's this enigmatic downgrade of her role- from live actor to voiceover- that has me suspicious. Like I said, it was the long-standing desire of the Fanning sisters to be able to act together AS sisters. Then Dakota makes a short, cryptic (and now rare) personal statement to MTV that it's off. You have to wonder as to what schemes her agent is following after the Sundance debacle. You also have to wonder as to just what Dakota's mental state is now due to it all.
