He was a commanding figure on the screen and a commanding figure in real life. Charlton Heston has died.

I loved his movies! This is sad news for movie lovers everywhere. Charlton Heston was an interesting man.

I am very sorry to see that Mr. Heston has left us. I’ve met people from St. Helen and they always spoke highly of him when he made visits there.

Heston was a true legend. He always seemed to me to be larger than life. One of the few Hollywood figures still married to his first wife which says something about his character as well.

Just like Reagan, he couldn't remember how to breathe in the end. He was a great actor, but I think he dragged the NRA through the mud with all the school shootings that happened at the time. I had respect for the NRA until then.

I have deep admiration and respect , not just for his acheivements as a an actor , but as a person. He has made a lot contrabutions to many causes, he did not waste a single moment. We should all take a lesson from some of what he has achieved.
