Charlton Heston

Dissing Moses and Ben-Hur

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

I was appalled by Commander Coconut's farewell list for the year in review. To mention Charlton Heston only as a "gun nut" reflects no sensitivity in his soul and suggests the columnist truly has a coconut for ...

Nice piece Dr. Felix! However I believe the slantinel does offer some variety, it's not all one sided, just most of the time.

Don't waste your indignation, Doctor. This is no more than what one should expect of the chronically left leaning entertainment industry.

Ben Who? Moses? Wasn't he mad at the Jews when he came down from the mountain and broke his slab with his 12 rules and poor guy had to climb back up again for a new one?

Commander Coconut is a tool.

So is his gay lover.

It stands to reason that the Commander wouldn't bother to offer any depth when remembering an iconic actor. Charlton Heston was everything the Commander is not:
Heterosexual
Talented
Successful
Good looking
Intelligent
Monogamous (with a woman, no less)

Charlton Heston is dead- but he's still better company than this pillow-biter.

Dr. Navarro you must not be surprised at the Slantinel. They merely serve as tools for the left wing liberals and espouse the company line.

For the final three decades of his life, Heston was an increasingly anachronistic buffoon. Remembering him as something other than the "gun nut" ("my cold dead hands") he was by the end of his life would be like remembering OJ Simpson as a great running back...instead of the murderer and convicted petty thug that he became.

In sum, your wrong, Felix. "Gun nut" is more than sufficient an homage to this clown.

What a pitiful statement to make about Heston's life. You should be ashamed of displaying such ignorance on a public forum.
