Each member of your household can have their own queue, and each can be assigned one or more of the number of discs your account has out at one time. Problem solved.

Post back your DVDs to get there Monday morning, if you have a new Tuesday release in your queue, they will send it on the Monday. I always get the new releases.

Um ... just to confuse things, you can have multple queues per account. One for the kids and one for the adults, a his and her queue ... and all of this queue-envy goes away .. .or is at least reduced.

Rick, exactly. I had a 3-a-time sub, and split off 1 disc for my wife. She soon filled up her queue, so I switched it to her having 2 at a time, me having 1. After a bit of that, we bumped up the subscription to 4 at a time, so now we both have 2.

No worries, no queue arguments.

Queue problems are old-news.

Wait 'till you start arguing over the account's monthly "WATCH NOW" usage.

"You used the last minutes!!!!!"

Don't forget to keep your number of movies out below 8 in any 30-day period. Break that secret limit, and it'll take days to check in the movies you return and more than a week to receive your next one as you are mercilessly, mechanically throttled by Netflix.

I would first explain that whatever point this article is making is moot, since Netflix allows you to have different profiles for everyone in the household, but then again, the author, Rob Hiaasen has already acknowledged, however briefly, this fact, on page one. So, I'm not sure if I understand the point of the article since he himself already states it's a silly argument.

Still, any publicity about Netflix is a good thing.

Netflix always checks in my movies the next day after I mail them. 98% of the DVDs are sent out and received the next day after that.

So, if I mail DVDs on Monday, Netflix receives them on Tuesday, mails the next ones out (especially if you have New Releases at the top of my Queue), and I receive them on Wednesday. This happens week after week, here in Las Vegas, Nevada.
