The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, were both very big Buddy Holly fans, so there's no wonder they jammed on his songs.

Beatles, Stones, Buddy...I love them all. I always consider the R.S. to procuce more riffs than melodies, Beatles and Buddy had both.

One of the first Rolling Stones records I bought was them singing Not Fade away at the time I didn't know it was a Buddy Holly song
