Bruce..No Question!!.. I have to disagree with people who say Bruce is too old, and his audience old or older...I saw him in Foxboro in August and I couldn't believe the number of people there in their 20's and younger..Bruce is 59..and still rocks for 3 hours..non stop!!!.. Definintley gotta play 'Born to Run','Badlands', maybe 'Out in the Street' and 'Dancing in the Dark'- Barcelona

What is more American than the Super Bowl?? Bruce Springsteen!! His songs are more relivent than any other artist in History. Songs that not only tell a story, but paint a picture as well. I dare anybody to analyze Bruce's songs and the message behing them and compare them to any other artist over the last 50 years...NO CONTEST!! Oh ya, I'm Canadian

Bruce music sucks, his lyrics suck, and his politics suck. Maybe he should stay Dancin the in Dark so we don't have to hear or see him.

He should play only ridiculously obscure songs that only the biggest super fans from his generation know. Yeah, he's a super rockstar, but he's gotta have some songs that most people have never heard. It'll make the youngin's angry and that's the goal.

Spoken like the true ignorant redneck you probably are. No doubt you voted for Bush too. I'd engage you in a battle of wits but it's obvious you're unarmed. Go back to listening to your Toby Keith 8 track.

Wow...now I understanding not liking the particular sound or genre of a musician. But if you really appreciate music, you should be able to recognize the talents of great artists, despite your predispositions. Even if you don't like rap, you should appreciate Biggie as a lyrical genius.
I think he will play: Born in the USA (b/c of the international audience and anti-war message), Human Touch, and The Rising

So much like a liberal who is tolerant and non judgmental! You couldn't engage me in a debate because I would wipe the hypocritical look right off your face! The fact that you retaliate with jumping to conclusion redneck statements show how shallow and uneducated you are. Stay on your side of the border and let us take care of our own problems. By the way I hate country music.

There is no better half time show than Bruce. Oh, he's too old!, Oh, he can't play a guitar, Oh he can't sing! Oh he can not write a song or perform! etc etc-All these comments are from people that have no idea what a real musician is and what influence Bruce has had and continues to have on music. They probably think Britney Spears is a real artist. There is a reason he is called The Boss and if you don't know why do a little research before you post your ridiculous comments.

How about The Rising, a very inspirational song, and who knows one team may need something like that by halftime

Hey "Borrrrring", go ahead and boycott the Superbowl show if you want, but I guarantee there will be more electricity on that stage than at any teeny booper/rap show, and it won't be from the amps!

IMO, Bruce is a better artist today than he's ever been. He's excelled at so many different sounds and themes it's amazing to have been witness to. Rock, bluegrass, soul, folk. For people who dismiss him out of hand, all they see is Born to Run. That's fine. Music is such a personal choice.

If you're looking for a good glimpse into how he's evolved, give a good listen (really listen) to The Rising.

Carry on.

It's an obscure one, but NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER would be a good tune to hear during these times of socio/economic/crisis warfare.
And as the title suggests it's kinda football related considering the strategy involved in chess boards and football and class warfare and what this this adm. has done to our "Born in the USA" country.
Bruce is not a washed up, dried up fogie trying to be hip. He is NOW. And he sings to a loyal choir. Bruce is" the Boss."

If you'd written your first post a little more intelligently in the first place, regardless of your opinions, I wouldn't have responded as I did. And though we live in different countries, you have to realize that what happens in America has worldwide repurcussions, good or bad. So the world has a vested interest in your problems.
