"but we really didn't need to hear this great band doing "Wild Thing," which is as unchallenging and trite a song as can be imagined."

Who is this "we" you speak of?

Springsteen's most legendary shows have always had covers - "Mountain of Love," "Good Rockin' Tonight," "Gloria," "Not Fade Away," "Who'll Stop the Rain," ... The list goes on and on.

I, for one, am glad to see him return to throwing his energy and the band into a different cover song or two every night instead of trotting out the tried and true (and grossly overplayed) "Bobby Jean," "Darlington County," or the show-killing "My Hometown."

Puh-leze, Bruce is a second-rate act compared to the real band coming to Hartford tonight, the Dead.

This article as at least twice as many "stumbles" as you reported the concert to have. I saw him on tour this year at the LA Sports Arena and he had as much energy as he did in 1978.

But I guess that only counts as "good, not great."

Critiquing a Springsteen concert is like picking apart the Michaelangelo. And the article writer was only good at that, definitely not great.

The guy really doesn't have a good singing voice. He's loud. I'll give him that.

what "stumbles" by the writer?...care to cite ANY?...agree, or disagree, the article was well written....rather childish of you to attack this writer only because his opinion differs from yours....can't get more subjective than music...now, try being civil, at least...for example, i won't say you're INSANE comparing springsteen to michaelangelo...i WILL say i doubt springsteen's music will be around hundreds of years after his passing, or that he'll be known and remembered the world over, so i'd venture to say your claim is well over-the-top...but, what the heck, sprinsteen fans are entitled to their opinions, even outrageous ones...see, civil!....God bless!

Come on. People tour to support their new music. It's one thing if you don't like the new stuff but an artist like Springsteen tries to challenge his audience. I personally would like to hear more new stuff but that's my opinion. Also, no one can touch the E Street Band live. We will never see another band like this.

Never really knew what all the fuss was about. But people kept telling me I had to see him in concert to appreciate him. I'd rather see Yes for the 6th or 7th time!

Wow. I don't know if Bruce's agent would feel comfortable making that statement. Hell, I don't know if Bruce's mother would feel comfortable making that statement.

One artist painted the Sistine Chapel the other played an arena in Hartford. Draw your own conclusions.

Bruce is as bad as the liberal-Socialist brand politics he pushes. He should ride off into retirement along with his only fan, Chris "Maddog" Russo.
