Underwood wants the pop out of country

Pop-country has made superstars out of acts like Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and more, but the term is not particularly endearing in Nashville, even to the artists who have come to define it.

I love Carrie and her music. I loved her on American Idol and followed her to country--and started liking a few other artists. She has an amazing voice and can sing anything and do it well. Plus she is a sweet, humble girl and a good role model for girls like me.
