Britney meets bad role on "How I Met Your Mother" -- Career and...

Did I miss the press conference where Britney declared that her brilliant HIMYM performance is going to save her dying career? If didn't know better I would say the media is suffering from Britney withdrawal and secretly longs for a truly momentous career comeback. It was a guest stint playing a receptionist, not the VMA's and definitely not something to scrutinize. Don't hurt your eyes looking for deeper meaning. The cheesy dialogue? That is courtesy of the writers, not Britney. First you report that she's in a psychiatric ward, then two months later you're lining her up for an Emmy? Joke seems to be on everyone but Britney at this point. Oh and Sarah Chalke is definitely talented and HIMYM is well above average as a comedy. Have you seen Samantha Who?

You are certainly entitled to your opinions, but my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the episode with Britney last night. She was witty and fit right in with the show. It was also nice seeing Sarah Chalke (who, by the way, was on some kind of Power Rangers ripoff show before Scrubs). Leave Britney alone.

Calling "How I Met Your Mother" an average-to-occassionally-good sitcom just proves that you don't actually watch the show. HIMYM is the best sitcom on TV and has been for the past two plus seasons.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with Brit's role or her performance of it. It's a sitcom, stupid; not ShakeSpears in the Park, and therefore not deserving of such scathing contempt. It makes you come across as desperate and pathetic.

Agreed. Her fame and money have people making excuses for her and her behavior. If she was a average person the courts would have treated her much more harshly.
Any synpathy I have goes to her children. She may rebound for a while but she is going to go off when the restraints are removed.

right on, in fact its the only sitcom I like. This show appeals to my generation though, so many of the things in the show relates to me, really funny. I'm 31, about the age of the characters

If you really are a journalist, I'd say you are pathetic, turning every little think britney does into a big media frenzy, along witht he idiot people that buy into it and care. How did she neglect her kids? She went a bit crazy, you probably would to if every single thing you do is scrutinized by the media and the biggest scum of the earth next to ambulance chasers, the paparazzi.
