I purchased the Bose v20 system along w/ a new 52" Samsung Series 7 LCD HDTV. I cannot get the Bose remote to work with my TV. I've gone through every code in the setup for an Samsung TV and it simply will not work. All I really need it to do is turn it on/off.

I've configured the remote to do my Cable box, DVD player and Tivo, but i can't get it to control the TV. Can anyone help me here?

thanks,

Alan

This can't be the best solution! I just spent all that money on the TV and the Bose system and now I have to buy one more remote as well? Has anyone else tried any other solutions?

I also cannot use my remote to control any of my new devices. I tried all the codes for my new samsung 58 inch plasma, samsung 2500 blue ray and samsung time warner cable box. None of the codes work. Is that because the bose v20 remote does not have these codes due to newness of products. Also the ir transmitters do not work. Any idea.

Thanks brian

I've go the V20 and Samsung LCD 6 series and have similar problem. Using code 063 for Samsung TV, I am able to turn ON the TV but not OFF.

Has anyone used different brand codes to work on Samsung? I don't know what other brands Samsung makes LCD controls for but there may be a compatible brand in the V20.

Also does anyone know is there a firmware upgrade for V20 and how do you get it installed?

I figure the problem of using one remote for everything. I have a Logitech Harmony 550. I turned the IR remote setting ON on the Bose V20. I programmed the Harmony, and now it controls EVERYTHING!

I have a lifestyle 18 system and a samsung LN650 lcd. I have gone through all the codes as well and none of them work. It seems a shame to have spent that much money only to go out and buy yet another remote to control everything. Perhaps bose should consult Logitech and how to make things work.

If you've been surrounded by people during the past few days you welcome the chance to have some time to yourself today. It's a wonderful excuse to do something really indulgent in private, such as scoff a whole box of chocolates while watching a favourite film on TV. But make sure you destroy all the evidence before everyone else comes home!
