It's long past time to secure the border, and then for our two countries to work together to resolve the various problems, including illegal immigration into the US, economic stability in Mexico which will provide jobs for it's citizens, stopping drug running in one direction, and gun running in the other. As it is, Phoenix is apparently the kidnap capital of the US, due to the various drug buisness influences, and Mexico is losing thousands of people to deaths from the violence of drug cartels. But all the difficulties start at a pourous border where no one observes the laws of either country.
