Where was Todd Platts?

Full story: The York Daily Record

Alfred Hitchcock buffs keep an eye out for the director's cameo in his movies. And 007 fans wait for the line "Bond. James Bond." Similarly, political junkies from York County have something to look for during every televised presidential address to Congress -- the high-profile appearance of U.S. Rep.

I think his embarrassed party leaders made sure he was OUT OF THE COUNTRY for the State of the Union, otherwise he would have been in the aisle with his pen and paper in hand. What a hippocrite...

Yep, you gotta be embarrassed by those HIPPOCRITES! HIPPO's kill more people than any other animal in the world. HIPPO's are quite intelligent, unlike those HIPPOCRITES who attempt to theorize and fall flat on their stupid faces. And HIPPOCRITES are even allowed to vote; damn, "WE's" in trouble. HIPPOCRITICALLY (hypocritically) speaking, some individuals should cease and desist from displaying their stupidity. At least you spelled AISLE correctly...kudos to you!

In the beginning of the speech, The pres first addressed, Pelosi, then the vice Pres, the chamber, and distinguished guests...last the American people... Wait Dont we elect these people? arent they elected into office for us? We are last on the list....

Even a Congressman is entitled to obtain autographs from the president for his kids to hold a piece of history. And you may wish to learn how to spell hypocrite before you choose to name call again.

Todd Platts is a good representative of the 19th district. His actions and approval by the electorate prove it. Besides, he was at Obama's joint congressional speech last Feb. where the president said about the same thing.

After this year's Census Pennsylvania will lose at least one, maybe two Congressional Districts.

That means that there will be 17 or 18 instead of the present 19.

Which means that the 19th District Representative will be out of a job. And York County will be part of least one other Congressional District.

I know for a fact that these "autographs" are not given to his children. He is a very devoted Congressman. If you only saw the amount of hard work that goes on in his office, your points of view would change drastically. Moreover, these "autographs" go to constituents within the district. Of course it may be the other party's signature, but let's be honest. It's history. Good. Bad. Or indifferent. The President's speech was not that earth-shattering- tell me something I don't already know. I do agree however; this article was pointless. How bout we start writing about things that TRULY matter in this nation and world.

...and in your dictionary, what is the definition of "real" reporter? Only issues that are important to you, I bet?

Oh, I know where he was, the same place he's been since in Washington - as "interesting" put it, in bed with all the other politicians. What a disappointment Platts has been. He left York County an independent man that stood up for his constituents, but returns on occasion a tarnished man. What happened to him?
I will tell you where

He should be in PA concerned with high unemployment, loss of jobs, high taxes with homes foreclosing, etc.... way to long a list to meention. But he is traveling around the world to find ouher countries to outsource our jobs.
