Great self control. Glad you let them have their family time. Was on vacation a few years back and saw a TV actor with his family, and we did the same thing, just didn't seem right to bother them. As hard as it was not to go up and ask for a picture, I'm glad we didn't.
Thanks for sharing your story and again that was so nice of you!

Why would she want to write to Jon saying she saw him after the fact and she "might get something"?

Yeah, it was a nice story up until that last paragraph. Does she want a special prize from Jon for not intruding on his time with his wife and kids?

It was nice of her to leave the family alone and let them enjoy their family time together. If I were in her position I think I'd be to damn nervous to ask or approach him and would probably pass out !! LOL

That is what I was thinking. Why would he care? "Oh you saw me? Here is your front row seat to my show in FL"!

Me? Not sure if I'd approach him or not. It all depends on if I was holding a bottled water or Coors Light.:)
She should have went up to him and waved a dollar bill in his face.(Of course pretending not to know who he is.) "Sir do you have change for a dollar?" They were in an arcade right? I bet she's kicking herself now.
Although nobody knows what they would do until it actually happens to them. He may have been nice, he may have been rude. Depends on his mood. If he was rude to her she would have that horrible memory for the rest of her life. I'd still take the chance.
Ooh good thinking change for a dollar !! I might have took the chance myself ...good or bad outcome you never know.

Awe... That is so cool and yes I'm sure it took self control. But, I bet the family appreciated it. I know I'm off topic, but I live about 35 min. from Chris Daughtry and to get to the nearest city often go through his community. The first house they purchased after idol - they sold pretty quickly and opted for more land and I'm sure security and privacy. Everybody and their brother knew where they lived. Many still do but I think some of the novelty has worn down so locals just keep going. I've passed his wife on the road and flew out of Greensboro with Chris to Atlanta a couple of years ago. First saw him in the terminal. I just smiled and nodded - suspect he just wanted to get in the air too. I could have grabbed his water bottle from his cup holder after he got off, but thought I'd just be too tacky. He's shorter than I realized. I texted my daughter - crazy way the brain works - that if my flight went down we'd definitely make the news because Chris D.was on board. Jon, I think I could be gracious. Now Richie - oh no, I'm forgetting all manners!
