Frank, you are an absolute flog. Put your manners back in and head back to 3rd Grade for a grammar lesson.

Alec's
bass playing was a joke. A-Call NYC bass players like HM made circles around Alec, JBJ knew this...why have a wasted valve onstage/studio. He's gone. JBJ and the rest of the band have basically open marriages/relationships... the great secret that the wives/GF's don't like to hear. The great rumour this Spring is RS is out, he's obliterated the Dewar's way and it is time for him to move on. JBJ's best move was getting rid of the midget who ran the group down. JBJ is a smart smart MF. Don't kid yourself. When he strikes, it is for the band. Oh, yeah, Alec's fortune has been erased through the years.

I love Alec! I wish we could see more of him. I understand now more than ever that Jon Bon Jovi is not really a nice person. The people he works with say so, his friends say so, and you can tell he has an attitude problem from his interviews. I LOVE BON JOVI! I will always love all of them even Jon but I have lost a lot of respect for him over the years :(

I don't believe this. He's a very good man. Bud sadly, and no offence, only people who are the same kind can see this. It's normal that a man that has looks, personality, heart and success and a powerful mind will not be easily accepted by certain others...

people forget bon jovi are men first before entertainers with real feelings and problems just like everyone else.give them a break,so what if jon can afford to take his daughter to this or that place, jealous much. jon and richie have been through alot together, now they need to do it alone. their figure it out if people leave them alone. jon does seem to take is pain out the person he trust and love thw most next to his family.

Alright, so... Richie's recent absence from the band reminded me of another Bon Jovi member who went missing (with a little help from Jon) 15 years ago. I was trying to find out what Alec's been up to and went for the easy source, wikipedia. The article mentions an interview that Alec gave to some dude called David Ling where he apparently reveals behind-the-scenes info. Jon tried to sue Ling to ban him from publishing the interview claiming that it was exaggerated but Ling had recorded his interview on tape with Alec so Jon didn't get what he wanted.
I've been looking online for that interview and I can't seem to find it anywhere. All I find are the mentions of it on various websites. I'm really curious to see what Alec has to say. I've always respected the band for not doing their laundry in public but sometimes I wonder what exactly goes on between them. I know they're super friends but it seems there was some weird stuff going on between them in the early 90's. I mean, they practically broke up for a year or two though now they swear it was just a break. I especially find it sad that Alec never got to tell his side of the story.
Anyone has a lead on where to find that interview? Thanks!
I don't know who the heck David Ling is. I never did the interview. I never did any interviews. Tell ya the truth, I can't even remember what did happen. Oh Well!! Keep the Faith

I don't have a clue about David Ling. Never heard of him, and I never did an interview with him. Matter of fact, I never did any interviews. Keep everyone guessing. I have read some far out things about myself though, and I just have to laugh. I'll have to check the posts out and see what new things are being said about me. Keep the Faith

How can you prove this is really Alec and if it is sheds some light on the richie situation or are you estranged from band members?

How about signed in blood?? I'm too old to prove who I am unless you know some deep dark secret that you can ask me. And no, I'm out of the loop and don't have a clue about Richie. If we ever get into the Hall of Fame, Richie and I will have to sit at the shit table. Keep the Faith!

Oh yes some of you managed to bring some fun down here again... now we are sharing posts with alec !!!!!! So hilarious ..... soon we will have the real sambora here too ....and david, and tico and ..... who knows ???? Maybe one day JON !!!! LOL .... listen, sweetie, its not that I do not trust you but..... it is someway very hard to believe you really are who you pretend to, be ....what the hell would you do on here ??? I suppose you would have some more thrilling things to, do, than reading posts of people who, just spend their time arguing at each other about any tiny thing and ruining any attempt of keeping this place a funny, friendly and comforting place for some who, share the same passion..... thanks for the laugh though...

I decided to chat because I thought enough time has gone by and some people might want to hear insights into life in a rock and Roll Band. I remember when I first started with John. Snake Sabo was our guitarist. he was 17 years old. He was good, but not good enough because he was just too young. He needed a few more years honing his craft to really make a statement. And he did. He put together Skid Row. It was his time. He took advantage of it.
Ya know, I lied to become a bassist. I played violin, but moved, and heard some kids practicing in a house close by mine. When I worked up the courage to talk to them, they told me that their bassist was leaving. I lied, and said I could play. They told me to get my bass, which I did not own. I mumbled something about having it the next day, skipped out of school the next day, went to 48th St. in the city and bought a blue bass.(I can't remember the make) and showed up the next day for practice. We played Satisfaction. I was hooked. Keep the Faith

Perhaps if you are in chatting mood, you could answer something that the historian side of me always hoped I'd be able to confirm one day...without betraying any confidence. You talking about Snake made me think about this.

There's been lots of stories told about Richie's first time seeing the band play after you suggested he check them out. Did that take place at that Hunka Bunka (now Starland) or was it at Fountain Casino or someplace else? Also wondering around what date that happened back in the summer of 1983.

Do you still play violin?

Totally not true story. I played in a band called Message with Richie. Richie was a lot younger than I was. When we first met, we got along great, but he was still a kid. I was in a local band called Phantoms Opera, and we had a great guitar player named Louis and Richie followed us around cause he loved the way Louis played. So the years went by and Richie became great himself. That's how Richie and I got together in the band Message. (by the way, I used to manage Hunka Bunka, and I know the original name of the place. If someone asks, I'll tell them) When John called me up to join him, he asked me if I knew a drummer. I said Tico. He was just getting off the road playing with Frankie. He asked me if I could talk him into rehearsing. Just happened that I was going to Tico's wedding at a place called the Broadway Central Café. Tico, whom I also knew for years, said that we should get together and jam. I nailed him down to join at a rehearsal with Jon. At the time it was Jon, David, Snake, myself and Tico. It went well. So we had a few rehearsals, and I thought about how well Richie would fit in. I talked with Tico about it. He had never played with Richie, but had seen him play. Anyway, I will finish the story in the next post. I gotta go. keep the Faith
