I hope he is ok and recovers well. If emergency could also be infection and takes quite a while to heal. I would never wish illness on anyone but maybe this will be a bit of a head slap to his band mates that can't seem to get along right now. Life is too short and precious. Can change on a dime. Take care of yourself hitman!

Wishing speedy recovery to Tico, and prayers to his family also. This is probably not the only show that will be postponed. Playing drums takes a toll on the stomach and abdominal area as well as the whole rest of his body ! This tour is taking a real toll on the band. I hope this doesn't make him re-evaluate and decide to no longer do these mammoth tours. I wouldn't blame him at all if it did though . Well wishes to the whole Jovi Family.

Are you seriously blaming the tour for Tico's appendix?

My take is that she's "seriously" saying that Tico will need to fully recover to continue the tour because of the abdominal strain of playing the drums.

Best wishes to Tico for a full and speedy recovery.

This is what happened to Elton John with his appendicitis...

It's the "this tour really taking a toll...." comment that made me ask.

I see!:) I can't understand how Tico can play the drums for hours on end! His arms have to get tired! He's a machine.

Poor tico ! I was surprised that appendicitis could be a problem at that age .... always thought it was a child thing ...... well now I know it is not. Hope he recovers fine ! That tour has turned very special .....

I'm sure that Tico will take all the time he needs to recover
From this surgery.(as he should).
But I don't think that too many shows will be postponed because
Of Tico's surgery. I'm sure that Jon and his managerial team have
Back up musicians for every member in the band, in the event of
of an emergency such as Tico's unfortunate appendicitis emergency
or Richie's 'leave of absence'.
Regardless, the band members we have grown to love will be missed
Dearly in the upcoming shows, but I have no doubt that the replacement
musicians are the best in the business.
Still, it won't be the same without Richie and Tico.
My prayers and best wishes are with the the guys and the Bon Jovi Team.

Tico will not be replaced. This far in to the tour they will be morel likely to cancel shows or reschedule, Getting a drummer up to speed for a handful of shows while he recovers will not happen.

No way would jon piss of fans further by having a 'Bon Jovi" concert with just David and himself being the only true members.

I would think Tico could be out for maybe a week. He works hard back there and will be pretty sore after surgery. Poor guy! Hope he gets well soon. And more stress for Jon....
