Good for him!! What a wonderful memory to be on stage and sing with the band you follow. 11 years old and showing he has talent and the ability to make it if he sticks with it.:-)

Full kudos to JBJ for seeing the kid's sign and having Matt go get him and bring him up on stage.

Very cute although I think the whole thing was staged to clean up the bad press the band is experiencing. The kid isn't new to the stage - if you look to the right of the youtube video he's been on stage numerous times.

Yes he has..but according to Matt...they didn't know about any of his history. Jon saw his sign and asked Matt to bring him up. They all could be telling lies.

Then again maybe..just maybe..the story happened just the way Matt said it did, just like Jon brought up Barby...a long time fan a few weeks ago or the sisters in Vegas and Calgary (I think that's where it was) or Morgan at the Mohegan show back last February.

I don't believe any of these incidents were planned since this tour started, but people will believe whatever they want to believe. Regardles of whatever the truth is for me that 11 year old boy did an amazing job in front of 20,000+ people.

I don't think it was staged given the obvious delight of the band members. I did find two things odd:

1. The boy didn't seem to understand English very well from the questions Jon asked him at the start. I think it was expected that he would only sing the first verse. However, between the first and second verse, it looked like Jon was having a conversation with him along the lines "can you sing the rest?" or something. With the second verse Tico started truly playing the drums and Phil was doing the back up voice from that point on. If the kid didn't understand English well, how could he understand what Jon was saying to him between the verses?

2. Jon had been mouthing the words of the song with the kid and occasionally cueing him on the lyrics. However, just before the kid held the mike out to the crowd, he looked at Jon. Jon had been mouthing along but then obviously said something that was different from the lyrics. I don't read lips so I don't know what he would have said but it wasn't the lyrics of the song. It was the cutest moment and Jon looked surprised and Phil also--both were really laughing so it looked real. But I wonder what Jon was saying just prior to it happening.

Whatever. It is a great video that I have watched several times. I am glad the kid knew what he was doing or it would have been awkward and painful.

I have watched the clip a few times and it still makes me smile. They were all genuinely having so much fun. It goes to show how music is and it's universal appeal. Marco knew all the words to Wanted but when Jon spoke to him, he didn't understand English. It was sweet. That boy overtook that stage, he even was giving Jon the mic at the end and giving the cues of when Jon could sing into the microphone.

It takes a star to let a kid come on stage and outshine you. Jon has made a memory for that boy to last a lifetime.

It might be only me but that boy has a resemblance to one of Jon's boys. I've heard Jacob but I have also seen comments where people thought he looked like Romeo and someone even asked if it was Romeo.

I don't think it was staged because Jon didn't seem to think that Marco could sing the song because he was giving him some of the lyrics but Marco was singing it on his own and you could see how Jon was surprised and so he just let him to sing without any help.

After they have their conversation at the beginning, just before he starts to sing, Jon says are you OK or you OK to do this? checking to see if the kid was nervous and how he was feeling. So he didn't realise that the boy has been on TV and can sing in front of an audience and has sang the song before.

During the song, I think he was just giving him encouragement and telling him, you are doing a great job. As you said, I don't think it was suppose to be the whole song because Tico and Phil seem to be playing at a "caution" level, if you know what I mean. As if, they were going to stop soon because Jon would take over. When it was obvious that this boy was going to sing the song, they just went into the song fully and then even Jon just let him go and sing the whole song.

This one is good also, has the complete ending and a full view of the stage so you can see David's reaction also. The only band member not looking like he was having fun with it was Bobby:

Oh yes I thought the same about Marco looking like Jon's younger kids but actually don't know whether it should Jacob or Romeo, but definitely some looks from both maybe. On youtube you can find that same lovely boy singing other stuff like highway to hell or nothing else matters and I watched when he performed like one year ago (he was something like 10 yrs old then) wanted at the kids version of the German singer contest (something like young idol or x factor). That boy is amazing !
