Complain to him directly, huh? That's a great suggestion...except for the fact that it's already been done.
Plenty of people voiced their complaints while that week of trivia was going on, and it did go directly to Richie because @TheRealSambora was included in the tweets. For him to feign ignorance at this point would just be silly. When he took the step of announcing the names of the winners himself the last two days, that action was, by default, an admission that he knew things had gone wrong.
But that is three months old now and what's done is done. I just can't believe that after all that went wrong with that week of trivia, he would have followed it up with such a silly mistake last week with American Idol. I mean c'mon dream, you have to admit it's a pretty big oversight on his part. The man lives in California and he didn't take the west coast time zone into account before asking the question and announcing a winner.
Really?
I knew you would have some lame excuse not to do it. So if you don't feel the need to complain to him directly because it's already (according to you) been done, then why are you wasting your time doing it here?
You're also wasting your good discussion skills on really stupid topics: Richie's girlfriends/ex-wife, his daughter's fashion sense...and now unimportant contests (are you really so desperate to win something?).
I wish you would put half as much effort in discussions about topics of substance, like...I don't know...the music!!

(As far as the American Idol contest goes... Who cares that west coast audiences couldn't participate? Non-Americans couldn't either. Most contests, both Richie's and the band's, are only for Americans. Not that I care.)

Well the contest has been announced.

https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Dream you'll be happy (perhaps stunned?) to know I like the idea. It's all subjective so there is no 'wrong' winner to announce. Do your own cover of Every Road and if Richie likes yours best, you get an autographed guitar. Lets the fans show off a little (maybe a new star will be discovered?) and it's a really great prize. Good all around.

First, thank you for saying I have good discussion skills.

Second, you wish I would discuss things like the music? I did just that in the thread titled "Ouch!!!!!!!!!!". I direct your attention to posts 32, 72, 77 and 126...none of which involved Richie's poor choices in regard to women or Ava's interpretation of what constitutes a full outfit of clothing. Interesting that I should have to point that out to you since you have not only participated in that thread, but your post #127 was in direct response to my #126...and was done less than 24 hours ago. How quickly you forget.

You do have good discussion skills. I absolutely meant that.
Yes, you took part in the "Ouch" thread, but there is no denying the fact that the majority of your posts are about Richie's personal life...and you kind of make his business YOUR business. That, to me anyway, seems pointless. It's not like he would care what complete strangers think. I also don't understand why you're so emotionally invested in his life ...to the point where you overanalyze his every move and decision. To me, it seems like you enjoy putting him down. In german, we call that "Schadefreude". You might be familiar with that term, but just in case: It basically describes a situation where a person takes pleasure in seeing someone else make mistakes or fail in order to feel better about themselves.

And yes, I agree: The new contest sounds much more interesting than previous ones.

I don't take pleasure in his errors. I'd be happy to see him pull off a whole string of good decisions, but that is up to him. He makes his own mess. Yes I comment on it, but in each thread my opinion is only offered once. From there I am replying back and forth with you and others. You keep on replying and then suddenly tell me that I keep replying because I'm obsessed. Tell me, if I'm obsessed... and you keep replying right back... what does that make you? If it's all so silly that I keep commenting, what drives you to keep replying? If not an obsession of your own, then what?

You're deflecting. But to answer your question: You love criticizing strangers for doing things in their private life that you don't agree with. Yet you refuse to accept criticism from others...in this case me. I am merely trying to point this out to you. And since you refuse to accept criticism, you deflect from yourself like you are doing here: I point out that you're obsessed with things that don't concern you and instead of trying to understand where I'm coming from, you try to turn the discussion around, so you don't have to deal with that criticism. You also like to have the last word...and so do I. LOL Anyway, I think I've made my point as best as I could: If you criticize others, you need to be able to accept criticism too.

It appears we've reached the 'agree to disagree' point. Shall we move on to the next topic that arises?
