I still say congratulations to David Bowie!! He's never been about the charts anyway.

It's not a surprise that the new BJ album is number 1. It's unfortunately true that fans buy the album regardless of it's worth. It says a lot that the single only made it to 16 on the charts. A single that ranked so low is hardly worthy of a number 1 album.

wow, can't u at least be happy that they have a no.1 album? Seriously it is getting more and more fustrating coming to this board and find alot of negativity with the band. It may not be the greatest bon jovi record of all time, but at least it is still talked about, and bon jovi to a certain extent is still relevant today as they were in the 80's, you can't say that to alot of other bands of that era. Even Jon and the band are at least appreciative of having a no.1 album, especially how the record industry is now, alot of people are not going to buy cd's anymore. So lets enjoy the moment and be happy for the band! even if it maybe only a week.

Bob Jovi are not a singles band anymore. Most of the veteran acts are like that nowadays. Look at Bowie, haven't even heard his single but just his name alone, made the CD 2 and 1 in the charts. Same with Springsteen and U2.

That's what I meant, it's the name that sells an album. More power to BJ, but still on merit, the new material doesn't deserve a number 1. That's all I'm saying.
I do like Because We Can and I admire the band but a number one album just for a pleasant up tempo pop song is a bit hard to swallow.

I agree rosa3 this isnt a site to bash BJ they are who they are and they have done what they have done over the years, times are so different from 30 yrs ago music has changed so much with the way we here music and buy it different generations they have weathered the storm a lot more than a lot of other Bands and will for many years to come.

Even Jon can't get this straight. How many times did he call this the What About Now tour? I must confess, I always have to think twice about the album name and single name too. What's up with that?.....lol

And don't forget about the name of the tour!! I wished I'd kept better keeping track of how many of the interviews/concerts where he said this!!

For this "just older" person...ME...there are days when it's called
Sometimers disease (sometimes we remember and sometimes we don't) and then there are days when it's called CRAFT disease (Can't Remember A F'n Thing).:-)

...and...moving on to week 2..preliminary sales figures look like it's still going to be in the top ten in the US. Have to wait until tomorrow to see the Canadian figures.#BecauseWeCan
