It's the same price as a Jovi concert because this was Richie's first tour in like 15 years.

It is extremely rare that he is solo, so of course the price is going to go up. Those tickets (particularly for Empire Shepard's Bush) were in VERY HIGH demand.

Smaller venue= more exclusive= More expensive

Appalled at it costing the same? get off of your god damn high horse.

It would cost the exact same if Jon was doing a solo tour and I bet there wouldn't be any complaints about ticket prices then...

Richie's shows were the most amazing experience, made all the better because Richie himslf gave so much to the fans. Compared to other trips with just Jon, this was a million times better, I came away feeling like I got real time with Richie. Nothing was too much trouble for him and everyone got a smile and a hug. Memories to last four lifetimes let alone one.

He was just amazing.

You must have been lucky enough to see him in LA! I saw him in NYC, and I know that he was sick.but he wasn't very nice to me. I managed to not cry in front of him, but did minotes later. I hope that it was just a reflection on the fact that he was sick/tired/just wanted to get back to his hotel, and that if I am ever lucky enough to meet him again that it will be the "Richie Experience" that I had hoped for.

Judi B - I was going to say the exact same thing. Imagine the loss bands take these days without people buying CDs. Times have changedandthey make money elsewhere. I think it's understandable to a point.
I have to admit that ever since I was 13 and heard about jon having the skid row rights to songs- that I first started to question the band. The last few albums I feel I'm a fan only because of my childhood loyalty and fascination to a band that helped me through so many times and has been a soundtrack to my life. But with each year I feel more disappointed because I think Jon is now thinking that wants to stay on top and so will always write the formula for a pop hit and do everything he can to market his brand... I mean i j guess there's nothing wrong with that and he's being honest so that's cool but I am more about artistic expression and not about pop stuff So as I've grown up I feel less proud to be a fan each year. I'm thoroughly disappointed in this new song but I think the only time job would change his formulated style is if people did t but CDs or go to shows. It's not about artisti expression for him Ida about money making and more than that keeping up his successful career by giving what others want. Even he has said in interviews over the years that he wanted to play more of the songwriter type songs but fans didn't like it live so he doesn't play those... It's about popularity and money at the end if the day and him being proud. I don't think that's terrible but it's not something that I look up to in an artist ... When there's good music tfdt reaches me great. The last great by song in my opinion was we weren't born to follow- awesome lyric!

Alison, you poor thing feel like giving you a big cuddle lol. It is sad when your idols don't live up to what you thought they'd be.:( I had a friend who met Dave and Richie in Sydney and said Dave was fabulous but could not say the same about Richie.

I was lucky enough to meet him in Philly at his free show and in NYC. He was so kind and generous, especially in NYC where they said you could only get one thing signed but I asked Richie to sign my charm or his face and he did accomodate and did talk...Sorry you had a bad experience Alison...what did he do to make you fee that way if I may ask

Fans have every right to complain. However that doesn't mean the price will come down. I do think both Jon and Richie have lost touch with fans and risk losing them. Both men need to reach out and reduce prices. Also both men need to make more effort to connect on a personal level. I know personally I will not pay huge ticket prices to see either. I may be flamed for this , but thier abilty connect with fans and quality of music has declined in the recent years.

Once again I do beleive folks have a right to complain about ticket prices. However I'm confused as to why fans think they pay less to see Richie Sambora's solo act. Richie is a talented musician in his right and command any price he choses. I recently had of exchanging tweet with Matt and he expressed the band beleive no matter where what seat you can afford each member of the band views every as equal.
