Your right..each of us should have a coal fired power plant in our back-yard. Each of our national parks should have one as it's center peace. In fact, Four corners should build a soccer complex right next to the power plants se we can all enjoy their beauty.
Theres a reason why these power plants are traditionally in the middle of no-where..out of site means out of mind for the rest of the county. As a republican and business owner, were all certainly affected by the economic times, however, I'm not willing to trade my health for 30 pieces of silver.

Yep, those damn unions. If it weren't for them, we'd have lower pay, no vacations, days off, or benefits of any sort. They're clearly evil - to those with no comprehension of history, and get their information from strictly biased sources.

nice try Mr. Peace in placing blame on democrats and the small people or so called unions. Why not look at the big picture here and the real culprits of corporate america? Big Oil and Dirty Coal are the real culprits with huge interest in maintaining wealth and power. The businesses you cite well stop at nothing to access the rich natural resources at the cheapest way possible, irregardless of health effects and laying waste in natural environments. Unions have nothing to do with cap and trade rules.

Go ahead, break up the unions. The GOP think they have the "will of the people" at heart because of the MID-TERM election. Most dems did NOT vote in that election. They were working on their union-paid jobs. They didn't take take off, they worked. Now they are fired up, those union-paid jobs are being threatened, and they are a united force and angry. 2012 will be the biggest showdown yet. Those dems who didn't vote in the mid-term elections will now be ready to make a say in 2012. Remember all those who said Obama would never win. The dems came out, and they will do it again.

I just hate the democrap mindset..I am not republicant either. When I see a Politician speak. I see lies & deception. That can truly be said of the majority. All bought by campaign donations of special interset groups!!!
It comes down to who is the lesser of TWO Evils. Liberalism & especially ultra Liberalism is by far the worst a person could be!!! PERIOD. And the is spoken from One asssshole to another!

Union IQ

On a bad ddy, Tigere Wood's score is about par with the IQ of labor union membeers.

Labor union dues have kept the enemies of American Energy in office election after election.

Udall and Bingaman are slaves of the unions. Yet the union members are so lacking in gray matter to realize that these two US senators have shut down coal, gas and oil and want us to all have own own little windmill.

How dumb must be rank and file who wne laid off from their jobs when the industry is shut down blames "big business" and not the bums their union dues have put in office.

So far these two corrupt"representatives " have betrayed you and cost New Mexico 10,000 jobs, and created jobs in China where they are building our windmills. Strange that Holland give up using windmills decades ago as unreliable.

If it weren't for the unions we'd still have operating copper mines in SW NM, we'd have cars with about 15% lower MSRPs, and lower priced goods and services over all. Unions had their place 80 years ago in the sweat shops, now they just create artificial labor shortages and drive up the cost of all they touch. Compare the cost of a Toyota made in Japan vs. one made here by UAW people-where do you think the wages of a $27 an hour janitor come from? Yes, unions did great things once upon a time, but now they're riddled with greed. Sometimes they'll help the occasional indivdual that needs protecting and representing, but as a group, their time has passed.

You don't have proof of that. You're just repeating talking points that has no way to be proven. You can't say what would have happened without unions.
