Nothing gets sold to Cuba. This author is an ignoramus. Decades of official isolation and severe sanctions against Cuba by the US are a disaster and a black eye on America. The US does not allow even tourists to fly directly to Cuba. But you can go to MX or Canada and fly direct to Havana.

So Estrada is stupidly, even if unknowingly, proposing continuing this economic murder a country right on our doorstep.

To think this moron actually can sell this truckload of crap to willing buyers here today. I am not saying it is Richardson's job but when we do open trade again, and we will, I will bet Cuba remembers who tried to help and who didn't. Not every investment pays immediate returns except being elected as a Republican.

What is stupid is Jabbas comment. My parents are refugees and the regime is brutal. People die of cruel punishments to this day and to tank that Jabba wants to reward them with green chile? Richardson didn't even want to go to Cuba. He lobbied to go to North Korea but Obama put fatso in his place and said to go hang in Cuba with his own kind of corrupt thugs.

An interesting thing about the Cuba trade mission is that not a thing is mentioned about any New Mexico trade representative or commerce department accompanying Richardson. If this were a trade mission, shouldn't they be accompanying him or does he not have faith in his own state officials? It sounds like a complete boondoggle.

It was in the last line of the article, the credits line.
Jamie Estrada, a Las Cruces native, is the president of Global Growth Strategies, Inc., an international trade consultancy, and served as U.S. deputy assistant secretary of commerce for manufacturing in the George W. Bush administration.

Whatever it is it sounds definitely in the globalization trade and not good for America right now. Like finding out the Sarah Palin's number 1 political advisor is the key lobbyist for the neocon PFNAC.

These people have the interests of the world rich and elite at heart - not the average US citizen.

Another last ditch effort to discredit Denish in support of the Rep. in the up coming election.

Your comment is interestingly funny, rings with truth - wish I had thought to write it! Keep up the good word.

Think Man! Use your head, the one attached to your shoulders, the past administration and their sleepy eyed, ho-hum, employees have discredited the State of New Mexico and it's most vulnerable citizens plenty on their own. Get your head out-of-the sand..Pay attention. Yes Richardson did help plenty of citizens especially the ones who have recent residency from other countries, but look at the record man! Too many pay-to-plays...tit for tat and all that. They just added more credibility to their fine record....in that it's who you know and what you do for them that get's you what you want. And that's just wrong, wrong, wrong. Every citizen has a voice not just the ones who are a friend of so-and-so or who does what for you know who!!
