Here is a link to an article written by Heath Haussaman You can read this much more detailed article and it has a place to click on to get the actual court paperwork. It is unbelievable.

I might also add that I do not believe for a minute that Chief Judge Driggers did not know all about this corrupt judicial appointment process. In fact, I would not be at all surprised if we later find out that he was appointed the same way. Perhaps he's just playing dumb and acting like he had no idea this was happening. Well, one thing I do know for sure is that he is a terrible judge and a
disgrace to the judicial system. Any Judge that makes up his mind about a case according to the attorney he is partial to and then refuses to look at evidence or listen to both sides, makes Judicial findings with no evidence whatsoever and completely based on pleadings or verbal allegations from the attorney he is partial to, promotes embroilment in his courtroom (either he has personal embroilment with a litigant or he promotes embroilment between parties), sanctions a mother for protecting her children, Gives illegal orders, abuses his power as a Judge, allows attorneys he's partial to to maliciously abuse the process, allows attorneys he's partial to to propose an agreement between parties (dictate illegal orders) as sanctions for the opposing litigant. This is not what we need as a judge. We need Judges that are fair, listen to both sides, and aren't partial to one side. I hope they investigate all of the Richardson appointed
judges and clean house startng with Driggers. Then they can make Judge Schultz the chief judge.

Just witnessed Lopez walking into the district court building. Richardson better hope he keeps his mouth shut.

Sad part is this isn't the first time Richardson has been accused of pay to play. Either the man thinks he is above the law or he is just flat stupid.

If found guilty they should all go to jail. Sure hope Richardson didn't sign a long term lease on his new Washington office.

According to the reports, multiple people caught him bragging at different times. It is NOT a simple case of he said she said.

Yes there is a lot of corruption in Las Cruces and it all starts in the DA's office where Susana Martinez ran the show and now is running New Mexico. Pretty scary huh. She became governor and made sure she put two of her DA's in the two available spots for judges and then now they come up with this BS on Judge Murphy so she can try and put another one of her DA's on the bench. C'mon people it doesn't take a scientist to see what's going on here. I do believe that Judge Murphy is innocent and he will be found innocent, but either way, his reputation has been tainted and it's sad that they have done this to a man with such intergrity and honor for his job as a judge.

Lets keep in mind, the ham-sandwich mindset we're dealing with here down at the witch-hunt headquarters of the 3rd Judicial District Court.

The speedy tortugas(DA's office) track record of ineptitude, no accountability and malicious prosecution practices here in Dona Ana County are widely known.

First, locking up an innocent man(Alvaro Nunez-Hernandez for 43 days back on (BOO) halloween in 2007, on second-degree murder charges, only to discover that it was a case of mistaken identity.
Then, the tortugas had the audacity to try and pawn the blame on the Sheriff's department and Detention Center. Nothing but coniving little bullies.

Second, they have two known witch-hunts going on with Mr. Daniels and Mr. Menchaca. One case is now over four years from the initial charges and no trial, and the second(Menchaca) was just given another continuance in March for another five months.

The Menchaca case is very troubling since the defense has a witness from the victim's side ready to testify on behalf of Mr. Menchaca, and the have been ready for trial since month nine. Here, we are approaching month 45 with the same evidence that the DA's office has had since month nine and still no trial!

Yes, the ham sandwich indictment and no accountability is most likely the two favorites with those speedy tortugas down there at district court.

Just another waste of taxpayer money by the DA's office with their under-handed, vindictive and unprofessional manner.

You really need to read the article before you make such ignorant and uninformed comments. Even Judge Schultz knew that by bringing it to one of Richardson's board she would be retaliated against. What good would it have done for susana Martinez to bring this out when Richardson was in office, he would have corruptly had it squashed and swept under the carpet.

You are oblivious. This investigation has been going on since before Martinez was elected. What's your excuse now? I agree, he's innocent..........until PROVEN GUILTY!

Another oblivious. You need to check your facts. Matt Chandler from Clovis is prosecuting this....not Dona Ana. Way to go bright guy!
