This is such bs....Really? 4 grand? Oh brother! I don't believe this for a minute! AND IF IT DID INDEED HAPPENED, who cares, it's in the past, Richardson is no longer on the Seat, so what difference does this make? Why is Susanna Martinez wasting NM Tax payers money and time on something as stupid as this? What year are we in?
I can tell you that I hired Murphy when he was still in the Sandenaw Firm in the 80's, then he became my Parenting Coordinator, then our Judge, and I can tell you this, he was the utmost professional man anyone could have ever had

This is horse____? The grand jury, most of the time only hears what the District Attorney wants them to hear and then it takes intervention from the good Lord above to have your name cleared. Grand Jury indictments are so one-sided that you walk out of there Guilty until proven innocent, not innocent until proven guilty.

You are so right! In addition, the cops lie in their written reports and on the stand under oath (perjury), so why should they tell the truth to a grand jury? I am sure not all cops lie, but I know for a fact that some do.

I know someone who served on a grand jury and I was told that they often say "send it forward and let the trial jury sort it out". Of course, then everyone says "look, they were indicted by a grand jury, they must be guilty".

The grand jury system is broken.

This goes back to the saying "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones!"

If Judge James Martin has the audacity to claim Judge Murphy paid a bribe then he needs to allow an independent, out of the county, panel the right to investiagte his decisions. My sources have informed me that he lacks impartiality and tends to rule in favor of certain attorneys. If these certain attorneys were on the 2005 Judicial Selection Commission that selected him that could be interpreted by some to be a bribe by Judge Martin.

Wasting taxpayer money is what she did her entire time as DA. Sure she did prosecute worthwhile cases, but she sent hundreds of cases without any merit to be prosecuted.

She did so possibly under the belief that if you tie someone up in court eventually they will cave in and take a deal which is why she flooded the court with cases. The docket was so overloaded that cases continually got moved and the delays increased to where the accused just wanted to put an end to the process itself.

To her that was punishment enough and she didn't care how she got it.

Thinker, you are so right. I recall some of your previous posts mentioning that the person who may have nucleated/reported this bribery information had to have close connections to the FBI which could only be Judge Martin who served for the US attorney's office. Now, Isn't it interesting that Judge Martin is at the top of the list of witnesses for the prosecution?
Your statement above: "He lacks impartiality and tends to rule in favor of certain attorneys" also describes Judge Driggers to a "tee" I know of one atorney in particular that Driggers allowed to abuse the process over and over in his courtroom.

How would one find out who the attorneys were for the judicial nominating committee back in 2003????

The court system is still the same--the time delays and changes in DA handling which case and etc., people get sick and tired of waiting and finally do take a plea. I know because I have been there and done that!!! The justice system is broke.

This is not the only instance Judge Murphy has bribed or received a bribed. He has done that most recently with another local attorney with whom he is very close. This attorney appeared before him many many times and it was evident that Murphy was not a credible person. He must be removed from the bench immediately.

I am confident he will be indicted and a more able Judge is appointed, one who has not bought a judicial position.

Stay tuned for the other bribery case Murphy is involved in.
