i don't know if i would exactly name him pete lol that seems a little much. jocku (jaw coo) sounds 10 times more amazing i think it will one day become a very popular pet name (hehe)

it reminds me of an old movie or new story when someone would start rambling on like a crazy person who just saw a ufo or something supernatural.

i think the squirrel is cute ^_^
plus i love the color purple (yay)

It is far more likely that he will run into a stain removing hawk than molt in spring and lose the color...

That reminds me of what I said in a thread over on the AA board. Someone started the thread asking if the race of your children matters. I said that I didn't care if they were purple with green polka dots as long as they were healthy. Nobody touched it or even iconed it.

ok you know they say purple is the color of royalty... plus purple is an amazing color... it looks like some lil animal took some of willy wonka's 3-course dinner gum and it got stuck on the blueberry pie again... too bad willy wonka almost had it

Purple really is the color of royalty. Just ask most posters on here and they will tell you what a royal pain I am.

Geee I wonder there are any blue berries in the area maybe??? Normally when an animal changes color it is due to its diet. Not too hard to figure out

I must say if I looked out my window and saw a purple squirrel I would definetly have to do a double take.

Does anyone know the history as to why purple is the color of royalty? I'm just curious.

I don't know why except it was exceptionally hard to find substances back then which would make a purple dye for clothing. They used to have to dive for sea creatures and it took a lot of them to dye one piece of cloth for a garment. It might have been a shell from a hard-to-find creature that made the dye, but since it was so rare it was declared that only royalty could wear purple.

Murex shells, now extinct or nearly so. I believe it was the Phoenicians who discovered that boiling the murex snails released this purple dye. Maybe Enocians...

The squirrel must have been hanging with that school's goth kids.
