I for one could have gone a hundred years without hearing a word from Bill Cosby. Maybe the discussion should be about guns. But please let us not downplay the fact that this is most definitely about race. It is because this young man is black that he was followed and targeted by Zimmerman. Had he been of any other ethnic background I can assure you that Zimmerman wouldn't have looked twice in his direction. What puzzles me is why is it that people always downplay racial issues and act as if Black people should not be outraged by racial injustice. People are quick to say he was a thug or what is the big deal-let's talk about black on black crime when that is not the issue. And maybe they are right. Black people should not be surprised. We have been targeted throughout out history and one thing that has remained a constant is that the Black man is expendable. You can kill a hundred and say you did it and get off with little or no punishment. We all know had that been a black man who shot and killed an unarmed white child his behind would be under the jail. There would be no chance of him running and hiding because he would have been charged and bail would not have been granted and if it would have it would be so expensive he wouldn't be able to afford to pay it.
