Incredible job LPC! Keep up the hard work. The locations you landmark today will last for centuries to come and is vital to the future and history of our graet city. Hope you are able to get as much done as you can while the mayor is on our side!

Better late than never. What took them so long?

So much of our history has been demolished over the last few years by greedy developers. The destruction of the beauty of our beloved neighborhoods could not go on much longer. I am extremely glad that the hard work that was done by so many New Yorkers has finally paid off.

The mayor better be on LPC's side. He has allowed too much to be taken from us already. No creddos for him!

Correction requested for Lord & Taylor/landmark list.

Although Lord and Taylor is the oldest surviving department store on Fifth Avenue, it is not "the first major store on Fifth Avenue," as stated in today's am New York. A simple Google search will verify B. Altman & Co.-- building landmarked and currently home of the Graduate Center for CUNY -- was the first to make the move to Fifth Avenue [and 34Th ST] in 1906; L & T did not move to it's present location until 1914.

The mayor is on our side? Thats called flip flopping. He is all for the creation of new shiny buildings that house out of town hipsters and yupsters. I wish every last brick was landmarked.
