Springer is in for a major culture shock when his show moves. He's going to have to import the trailer trash that is his show's staple because there just aren't the numbers in CT.

I used to work for American Airlines at the ticket counter for 5 years, and you could spot the Springer guests from a mile away. I have to tell you regular guy, most of the trailer trash had to be imported..

I think society is sick for watching him. He made his fortune by bringing out the worst in people, shame on you. Wait for judgement day, you will get yours!

I worked at Tribune Tower -- just across the parking lot from NBC Tower -- for eight years. On Springer's taping days, I always tried to park as far as possible from where the audience lined up. Now, I work at a TV station that actually runs the Springer show. What unmitigated garbage.

Jerry provides a forum for the dark underbelly of society's shallow mor ons to willingly show themselves, not only for our amusement, but also for our consideration. But these people are everywhere...not just in the anonymous trailer parks of Appalacia.

If you build it, they will come.

So, take care of yourselves, and each other."

Oh no!
I wanted to be an audience in Jerry and Opreah's show when I visit Chicago in 2011.

Hate to let you in on this but.... almost all of his guests WERE Imported. I read an article that the most guests he had came from California with kentucky, Tennessee and New jersey not too far behind.

I could take or leave Jerry's show. Mostly leave it. Obviously he has an audience and know who that audience is. Good for him.
However, as a waiter who has had the opportunity to wait on Mr. Springer and his family, he was always the most pleasant, respectful, generous and polite customer anyone could ever hope for. Soft spoken and open, he was happy sitting alone reading a book or graciously signing an autograph or posing for a picture. Yes, "The Jerry Springer Show" might have been some people's idea of trash, but Jerry Springer, at least in my experience, was always class.
Thanks, Jerry, some people here will miss you.

Good riddance. What a disgrace. You're an embarrassment to our country. People watch these losers and think that's the United States.

Yea, and everyone in Japan acts like those fools on all of their game shows, too.

Well bob, it is part of it, love it or leave it. And that's just the way it is.

Ah, maybe you haven't noticed people on the Japanese game shows have props? Jerry's losers are dressed in street clothes dicussing their lives (not playing silly games).

The truth is I think Jerry Springer's business will be the first of many businesses to leave tax burdened Chicago. Financially Chicago is quickly becoming a very unfriendly place to do business.

wow a true loss, chicago will be a lesser place since all the trash he brought to town on regular basis will no longer be visiting. The carnival atomsphere, the deep emotional problems be resolved by "dr Jerry".
his guests always brought a certain level of desparation to this cow town, making it exciting, vital and relevant.
God bless you jerry springer, you have done more for the intellectual debate of this city, than all the great educators at the CPS, first arne duncan, now jerry springer, we are dumber city today and tomorrow!

Another economic engine lured away from the city of big shoulders. And you stand, snickering and don't-let-the-door-hit you-on-the-way-outing.

Arrogant print media - how many jobs have you created since Jerry went on the air? Zero, zilch, negative numbers.

Steve, your sour grapes are showing, and it's not a pretty sight.

I'm not a fan of this guy's stuff at all, but it's just another business heading for the door. Can't blame them either. Chicago is like NY with it's tax and spend, tax and spend. The only businesses moving in are doing so with huge tax breaks and other taxpayer subsidies.

Good comment on the media's response too. They're a bunch of arrogant fools. Nothing but consolidation and job cuts on the horizon for the deep-thinkers in news and it couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of dopes. Outsource the Chicago press to India. You'd get more honest reporting and a whole lot less spin and arrogance.
