Bringing Ukraine into the European Club

Apr 21, 2009 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: UNIAN

Many of us who watched the Orange Revolution with admiration four years ago have become disappointed with its failure to usher in a period of democratic stability and sustained reform.

Hello Eurofriends,

Get off your behinds and start helping Ukraine and other countries gain more military security, human rights and democracy, so they can escape the gravity of neofascist Russia's black hole of Putinism.

Surely you aren't refering to Ukraine as a bunch
of criminals for trying to maintain their rights.

Hello Eurofriends,

Russia, Russia, Russia, the Incredible Shrinking Russia....

Here is a fascinating article by George Will on Russia's most remarkable population decline:

....."Russia is suffering a demographic decline on a scale that is normally associated with the effects of a major war."

According to projections by the United Nations Population Division, Russia's population, which was around 143 million four years ago, might be as high as 136 million or as low as 121 million in 2025, and as low as 115 million in 2030.

Marx envisioned the "withering away" of the state under mature communism. Instead, Eberstadt writes, the world may be witnessing the withering away of Russia, where Marxism was supposed to be the future that works. Russia, he writes, "has pioneered a unique new profile of mass debilitation and foreshortened life previously unknown in all of human history."

"History," he concludes, "offers no examples of a society that has demonstrated sustained material advance in the face of long-term population decline." Demography is not by itself destiny, but it is more real than an arms control "process" that merely expresses the liberal hope of taming the world by wrapping it snugly in parchment.

George Will: Russia ravaged by population freefall
GEORGE WILL WASHINGTON POST APRIL 21, 2009
http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/2...

No point losing any sleep over Russia's demographic crisis....the Chinese will always make up for Russia's population decline.

In the meantime, Europe will need to prepare for Russia's imminent instability.

Smug and self-satisfied Euro-nations can increase stability by get off their behinds and start helping Ukraine and other countries gain more military security by NATO membership, advance human rights and democracy, so they can escape the gravity of neofascist Russia's black hole of incredible shrinking Putinism.

Hello Eurofriends,

Russia, Russia, Russia, the Incredible Shrinking Putzia....

If my Eurofriends want stability and protection from the inevitable demographic demise of Russia, and the attendant strife and chaos, then as I said:

Smug and self-satisfied Euro-nations can increase stability by get off their behinds and start helping Ukraine and other countries gain more military security by NATO membership, advance human rights and democracy, so they can escape the gravity of neofascist Russia's black hole of incredible shrinking Putinism.

The Russians and the Anglo Saxons fought two world wars last century to prevent a unified Europe under German domination. The EU is all about creating a unified Europe under German domination. Kyiv should steer clear of "the European club".

Only a total moron like Idiot Poet would support...

Ukraine belongs to Russia. If Germany continues to flirt with anexing Ukraine into "EuRope club", it will freeze without Russian gas, and it still wouldn't have Ukraine.

But germans are not that stupid, they won't comprimise their relations with Russia for sake of few Russophobes from Galicia who don't even live in Ukraine. Fact that few ukrainian emigrants in West have fetish of making Ukraine isolated from Russia have no impact on reality. Ukraine needs Russia and without Russia it would wither and die like broken bough.

Well spoken "Shouting" I am sure that your bosses in the Kremlin will be proud of your performance. Maybe they will even give you an extra bottle of Vodka.

Actually the Ukrainians will do quite well without Russia. They will do even better once they get rid of the puppets, holdovers from the Soviet era, currently occupying their government and dancing when Russia pulls their strings, from their government. Whether Ukraine joins EU or not is really not tht important. Either way the Ukrainins will survive and prosper.
BTW I have personally seen many of the contruction projects etc. in southern Ukraine which show an expanding economy. Go and see for yourself instead of spouting the "Gospel according to Pootin".(A pootin is a container full of crap).

If you are implying that Halychyna is not Ukraine, you are either a fool or some soert of Bolshevik dog who still believes in the fairy tales spewed out by the likes of Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky and other murderous monsters of whom any real human being would be ashamed of idolizing, which you apparently do. Get a life and worry about your own tribe, mouzhik.

If it hadn't been for the USA, your country would have been a minor province of the Third
Reich. Nice that most Brits are good people, always one rotten apple in a barrel, though! By the way, your namesake was a
murderous tyrant, in many ways a 17th Century Hitler in his own right.
