I am worried one of these things will malfunction and kill our own troops, fail or get wounded, fall into the hands of some of our enemies that could repair it or replicate it, arm it with some bad stuff and use it against our people and country.
Radar isn't sensitive enough to track one of these things.
"I would like to see the President have to justify"
I agree with that but the CIA, NSA, etc. doesn't need "critical authority".
In that realm, we would never even know if one had been shot down, let alone repaired and reproduced.
The enemy of our enemy is our friend! To men adn women of freedom and of personal concern...purchase your weapons and defend your homes and property. They retreat fast. For they are used to things being one way...

OK
BUT...
Would a required SCOTUS signed warrant be an acceptable restraint on use of drones?
Many don't recognize him as their president. For if he has his way, he is their executioner.

The possibility of death by friendly fire is as old as warfare. It is inherent in all men and machines. This is as old as warfare.
The possibility of the capture of a drone, and its replication is a risk that is present and Probably going to happen sooner or later. however any technology that allows us to minimize causalities is worth the effort. In Viet Nam we lost about 55,000, in Iraq and Afghanistan combined about 6,000. The technological advantage enabled us to fight our current war at a safer distance. Thus a drones use in warfare is less problematic than its use against U.S. citizens.
It's use against our own citizens is the area that warrants a process that requires a complete and reviewed justification

It don't matter .
He is your President.
Like it or not,
The establishing of hard rules restricting the use of drones will outlast this President.

No, to his shame he has not stopped this nor has he stood against the other excesses that came with the 'war on terror' that he inherited from W.
Whining about Obama is not a policy on drone use.

So with two parties, we just have to accept all that each side represents while both sides have enacted and enforced laws that will send us over the abyss. The proof is that if not with this thread, amother thread we will disagree with each other big time and there will be name calling. Thus keeping their movement to something nasty going. For there would be no reason for it if it were not true.

I do accept that both parties are flawed.
Like me and like you and like every institution that man has yet to create
I am certain that we will disagree in the future, hopefully we exchange ideas as well as insults.

The last two sentences were either a bit cryptic or mis understood.
