Yes but wrote: I noticed that if Barry Obama does not have the written word in front of him, he does babble. Can't he speak for himself? Just words anyways, he means none of it except that will we "sacrifice" for him. I think he fancys himself a God. Pompus boob. So you think a president should just stand at the podium and bumble his way along in a speech like a drunken idiot - kind of like Bush does. "Should the Iranian regime-do they have the sovereign right to have civilian nuclear power? So, like, if I were you, that's what I'd ask me. And the answer is, yes, they do." --George W. McCain was just having a senior moment, again. Senior moments are getting to be such a regular occurrence with him I’m starting to wonder just how far McCain’s Alzheimer’s has advanced.

How can Mike and Joe be correct when I was talking about the taxpayer funded Fed bailout of the financial sector through the discount window and they ignored that and went on ignorantly ranting about the homeowner bailout, as my last post made clear? Your selective recounting of history reveals your bias. The embargo\deflation that Carter walked into was the result of Nixon setting the dollar to float and Kissinger arming Israel to the teeth, upsetting the balance of power in the Mid East. Carter walked in and caught the blowback right between the eyes. It was a unique situation, Volker improvised, and the GOP did nothing but b!tch, whine and ridicule for four years, pursuing partisan gain instead of caring for the country which elected them. I won't challenge your version of the history of regulation under Bush 1 simply because I don't feel like doing an hour's worth of research, but it sounds wrong on a gut level. It's irrelevant in any case. seniorauthor wrote: Dodd and Frank did absolutely nothing to curtail these practices so be as it may when we got into 2001, these lenders were going strong and taking advantage of anybody within their sights and again, Dodd and Frank (democrats) did nothing. If they were reading the reports from the regulatory, they must have been blind sighted. These were house chairmans of the Housing and the Senate Banking committee who were holding hearings and they still didn't ask the right questions.. This is where you refuse to let the facts get in the way of your argument. Dodd and Franks were the ranking members, minority chairmen of the committees, from 1996-2006, with the exception of 2002-2004, when they were a little tied up with a little debacle known as the Enron bankruptcy. This had been previously enabled by the hack Gramm, who had repealed the Glass -Speigal Act in 2000 and created the Enron Loophole. They produced good recommendations, which were ignored by the Bush Administration, enabling the present economic melt down. At all other times since 200, every lever of power was in the hands of the GOP. I won't go into the GOP's promotion of mortgage fraud during the 2004 election, but I will say that the GOP collectively turned a blind eye to the abuses of the mortgage and bond industries, enabling the present crisis. They have serviced the oil and financial sectors well, justifying all the money those sectors have poured into the GOP, and impoverishing the rest of the country. Personally, I want Clinton's surplus back. With interest. With all due respect to your claimed expertise, your grasp of recent financial history is dubious at best, and your description deceptive at worst.

He was fired after it was revealed that he was sucking the toes of a prostitute while discussing classified information on the phone. He has been spreading slime, smears and lies about Democrats ever since. Your selective version of history is typical of all right wingers. Tell me how great McCain's economic policies are? Tell me how much he has done for the country in his Senate career? Tell me why he refuses to release his Navy records if his "service was so stellar? Crickets. When you have nothing to offer beyond slime of the Democrat and lies, you are truly pathetic. The GOP is going down.

The puppet masters in Washington love having a leader they can manipulate. They've had a field day with Bush over the last 8 years simply because he's dumb. If they can get a president with Alzheimer's, they'd be overjoyed.

Especially if that guy has a loser's complex, and feels that he has to prove his worth to his long dead father, loves war as long as someone else fights it, has a lifelong problem with anger control, is too stupid to seek out information, and has demonstrated lifelong opportunism fueled by indifference to others. Makes him very easy to manipulate. If he has a record of abusing his wife in public, so much the better. He'll keep her under control for them. I think the senility is advancing faster than they had anticipated. OOPS!

What's happened to the American spirit of independence, self-reliance and individual achievement? Well, for one thing, you have Marxists like Bill Clinton make this shameful statement, April 19, 1994: "When we got organized as a country, we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans, however there's a lot of irresponsibility today in this country and so a lot of people say there's too much personal freedom. When personal freedom's being abused, you have to move to limit it." Spoken like a stinking Red. Marxist Barry Obama and other elitists push "community service" and "volunteerism" as something "we" should all aspire to do: selfless dedication for the "common good" - one of Hillary's favorites. These fanatics deliberately flog the American people with the same big lie that America is a democracy. Jeri Lynn Ball, an expert on the communitarian movement explains here from her outstanding book, The Voices of America's Destruction, the strategy for achieving and subduing the American people. A major goal for communist domination - besides eliminating God from the American landscape - is the destruction of the nuclear family; see here, Ibid. http://www.newswithviews.com/Devvy/kidd378.ht... Indeed, the word “change” has moved well beyond being a simple, hackneyed slogan and has now become the mantra of the day. One could even say that “change” has achieved a religious stature, with its adherents solemnly pronouncing the word, eyes glazing over as they achieve their version of nirvana. Their “savior,” one Barack Hussein Obama, has proclaimed that we need “change”– and he is the anointed one who shall deliver it unto us. So what “change” would this messiah bring? To his followers, it matters not – as the only thing that matters to them is change itself, even if it is only talking about “change.” http://www.newswithviews.com/McLean/chip17.ht... U.S. GOVERNMENT NO LONGER VALUES CITIZENSHIP http://www.newswithviews.com/Wooldridge/frost... BOTH OF THESE "DIRTBAGS" WILL DESTROY WHAT IS LEFT OF THE COUNTRY!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

Yeah I point the way things were in 2006 BEFORE NANCY PELOSI AND BEFORE HARRY REID AND THE DO-NOTHING DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER CONGRESS, when the Congress was controlled by the Republicans. And you are dumb for voting in an incompetent Congress that has a 9% approval rating that cant even understand that if you use oil, you have to produce oil.
