If that's not buzzard's luck...... right smack in the middle of the national debate on keeping weapons out of the hands of the mentally unstable and criminals.

I copied these comments by Navy SEAL Chris Kyle from a CNN story a few minutes ago.
Recently, Kyle spoke out against weapons bans. In a video interview with guns.com , Kyle accused President Barack Obama of being "against the Second Amendment." The founding fathers "had the same weapons the military did," he said. "We don't even have that today -- but don't try to take what I've already got." I hear claims who needs a AK-47 to hunt with by politicians. I had trouble figuring out what the second amendment had to do with hunting. The opinion of Kyle confirmed what also appeared to me from studying the second amendment.. |

Text of the 2nd Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Right of the people to???? SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED The purpose is in regards to MILITIA, not hunting. A right the people have. Has it been infringed in the past and is it that infringement also being attempted today. |

Typical black.

Judged: 1 It doesn't sit well to have a decorated Navy Seal speak against the president. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Liberals are now paying their black voters to not shoot each other to make rednecks look bad during these tough times for the NRA. |

In a Guns.com interview at a gun dealers convention in Las Vegas last month, Kyle was asked about President Barack Obama's gun control proposals, which he said he believed to be aimed at "trying to ban everything." Banning 30-round magazines for assault rifles would be "opening the door to start taking more of our rights," he said. |

It's ironic to be killed by the very thing you support. |
|
|
It is very sad that he was killed but since he became public I felt like he had pretty much painted a bull's eye on himself. The only difference is that I thought some terrorist would retaliate against him or someone close to him. I wasn't expecting it to come from a fellow American. I guess we can take some comfort to know that the enemy can't take credit for this.
The moral is that whatever special involvement that you might have in the military you must take to the grave with you. Bragging might get you or someone you love killed and it's not worth it. To all you unsung heros out there--Thank You for your service to our country. I know that some of you might want recognition but sometimes it's just not possible. May he and his friend rest in peace. |

I think you are speaking of guns. The cause he was supporting that did result in his death was helping veterans returning with PTSD. My hat is off to him for that. He was doing what he did in all those tours overseas, helping his brothers. We are fortunate to have people like that in this country. It is said they do not leave their own behind. He was still doing that even after he left the service.

|
I have a friend who is suffering with PTSD and I commend everyone who is doing something against it and helping our fellow brothers and sisters but by going public with what he did he inadvertently placed himself and loved ones in danger. |

Maybe this is a lesson for us all to learn from. Going to war is wrong, killing people is wrong. We pride ourselves on being such a wonderful country yet we sometimes act like black animals in the ghetto.

Judged: 1 1 1 I forgot who made the famous quote: "If you want peace prepare for war." Just because you want peace doesn't mean everybody does. Our military must always be prepared and these soldiers put their lives in danger so that you can have the right to free speech and freedom. |

He did make himself more of a target with the of a target with the book, especially since they had a bounty on him. That had the potential to become a problem but did not cause his death unless the marine was a terrorist sympathizer. I haven't hear the marine was, only that he was troubled. |
