Republicans not handling election results well

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2012/...

....Some GOP voters are so unhappy with the outcome that they no longer care to be a part of the United States. 25% of Republicans say they would like their state to secede from the union compared to 56% who want to stay and 19% who aren't sure.

One reason that such a high percentage of Republicans are holding what could be seen as extreme views is that their numbers are declining. Our final poll before the election, which hit the final outcome almost on the head, found 39% of voters identifying themselves as Democrats and 37% as Republicans. Since the election we've seen a 5 point increase in Democratic identification to 44%, and a 5 point decrease in Republican identification to 32%.(cont.)

Maybe their just tired of funding the losers on the left and their agenda to redistribute wealth.

This one falls under the heading of "be careful what you ask for".

Republicans in the House are scrambling to avoid the negative impact of across the board cuts now that sequestration is a reality.
----------

Sequestration: GOP seeks to smooth roughest edges, avert shutdown

Republicans controlling the House are moving to take the roughest edges off across-the-board spending cuts that are just starting to take effect....

....The effort is part of a huge spending measure released Monday that would fund day-to-day federal operations through September - and head off a potential government shutdown later this month.

State's main witness in George Zimmerman murder case lied

That article got a lot of attention last night.

The two main points are that the article says there is no indication that the young woman lied about what happened the night Trayvon Martin was murdered and that George Zimmerman's lawyer doesn't seem to think Stand Your Ground is a very strong defense for his client.

So? The Liberal media will keep lying and making up stories and gullible liberals will continue to believe it!

<quoted text>All of this coming from some twit that doesn't know the difference between a request and a demand.

You over look that fact that prosecution is in an awkward spot because she is the key witness for the State and has lied multiple times over this case already. Who knows what other lies will be exposed when the cross examination begins? She deserves to be prosecuted for perjury but whether Al Sharpton will allow that or not remains to be seen.

George Zimmerman will be found "not guilty" by a jury and Topix libs will go on for years about the racism and bigotry of our “rigged Whiteman’s” system over it.

But that’s okay, you have a while to stand your ground with this hot air before you change to that story.

Your eyes are getting heavy. You need stop posting and to get some sleep. The chickens will need feed at 5 a.m. and you haven't been to bed yet. Oh wait, you're 3 hours late now, get going!
The Liberal agenda will continue unabated!

And Liberals will continue to follow along!

America is so racist that no black man will ever have a chance to become a president!

That is then liberal agenda and typical naive liberals still believe it!

Dude, you've lost it. I've been to bed, already got up and done my work this morning and now I'm just waiting for it to warm and the snow to start melting.

Did you really sit up all night just waiting for me to post?

That's kind of sad.

Wow, 25% of republicans want to secede from the Union?

That probably is due to shrinking numbers of people that are willing to identify themselves as republican.

Reasonable conservatives and moderates don't want to be part of the radical right so they leave the party and all you have left are the wing nuts.

<quoted text>The "conservatives" on this thread brought the Trayvon Martin issue back into this thread.
That's stereotyping- much like Ron White's assertion that "the PO-lice were stopping everyone driving on that particular stretch of sidewalk- that's stereotyping and that's wrong". I personally don't see the connection to the topic- it has nothing to do with it, except that the POTUS talked favorably about Martin (in between golf outings). I was on the side of the victim m'self until I saw that the media was using (initially) a photo of TM at age 12 and a photo of GZ at his worst- creating bias on behalf of "the powers that be"? A disgusting example of the media controlling and guiding public opinion. I think the court needs to be left alone and deside this case without prejudice...if now possible.

<quoted text>
No, you don't have a right to be out patrolling the neighborhood as a pretend cop, even if you do have a Concealed Carry permit. It's not a Junior Deputy Sheriff's license. That's made crystal clear in the training that allows you to carry a concealed weapon. BECAUSE you have that permit, you CANNOT be out patrolling. Get it? It's one of the restrictions of having the permit!
If you join the Neighborhood Watch, you DO get to assist the police, but in a minor role. You do NOT get to carry a gun. That is ALSO made crystal clear in their training program. It's not a posse or a lynch mob. Nobody was deputized. Report what you see, then stay clear.
IF the evidence supports what you say above, he may get off. However, whatever testimony HE gives he has been permanently tainted by his inability to follow very basic guidelines of those two special privileges he was allowed to have. If he will openly flaunt the basic rules of both those special cases, why would he not also tell lies to save his butt?
They do not allow Neighborhood Watch to be armed PRECISELY because of the temptation of untrained, ill-equipped, inexperienced CIVILIANS to do just what Zim did: really screw up and get somebody shot.
They do not allow Concealed Carry holders to act as cops for the same reasons: they are untrained, ill-equipped and inexperienced. For example: what if you witnessed a hold up as you are pumping gas. Can you grab your gun and do a citizens arrest. NO YOU CANNOT! Not according to the terms of your license.
If you do, YOU are responsible for whatever happens (that's explained in the training too). Suppose you walk in, gun drawn and the guy you saw holding a weapon turns out to be a plain clothes cop arresting a robber you didn't see? What if the store owner thinks you're just another robber and shoots YOU? You have NO badge, no ID, and no connection to the Police Department, like a radio, that would allow you to know if somebody isn't already taking care of what's going on. The guy you shoot could be a REAL cop who's radioing in that everything is under control UNTIL DUDLEY DUMBASS WANNABE COP HERO BARGES IN AN CREATES HAVOC!
Zim may get off, as you say. But he at least ought to be civilly liable for numerous violations of his very clear and specific training. HE CAUSED THE SITUATION BY BEING A PRETEND COP!
I wonder, did GZ ID himself to TM as a 'wannabe' ANYTHING before TM punched him? I don't think so...

according to your 'twisted' logic, citizens that join NW organizations give up their other Constitutional rights? even when not 'on duty'?

really? is that how you make your 'theory' work? bend the facts and reality to fit?

I think ANY citizen can intercede in stopping ANY crime against society... AT THEIR RISK. simply because LE and OTHER authority figures advise untrained civilians NOT to put THEIR lives at risk (I've never, ever heard any mention of 'YOU CAN'T' do that!' or "STOP! You might hurt the perp.'.)

methinks YOU are reaching....

still waiting for that FIRST, TINY bit of REAL evidence that disproves GZ's version....

thanks for not answering my very direct questions, too.:)
