You didn't misspeak , did u ?
It's called The Irish Republican Army.

The "Republicans" they were talking about were in Ireland.

So no, I didn't misspeak. You just failed to comprehend.

Pretty much par for the course at this point.

The country, according to Obama, is in dire straights, children will starve, planes will crash, soldiers will not be paid, etc.
What does he do?

Take 3 days off to play golf.

When he acts worried, i'll follow suit.

What you meant was the Irish failed. But you said "republicans", i'd like to see any reference to those you referred to being called "republicans", other than in their name..
You deliberately tried to smear "republicans", we know it, you know it, admit it.

Wasn't Hitler some kind of democrat?

Why was the NAZI party called the National Socialist Democratic Workers Party and why do people want Socialism? Seriously, if NAZI party ...

Clearly all American "democrats" can be called nazis.

We've been through this already.
That online survey is way out of line with all the other polling data available.
Everyone from Gallop to Fox says that a clear majority of Americans favor some sort of legal status for those currently in the country illegally and very little support for deprtation.
Believe what you want. You're going to anyway.
I don't care anymore.
It's not going to change reality.
I believe that the election also showed how the majority felt about immigration reform. Romney ..... against. Obama ..... for it.

Presidents die their hair. When they want to look wise and knowing they die their hair white. When they want to be reelected, they want to look young and healthy so they die their hair darker.

It's a tradition that dates back to the powdered wigs of noblemen. George Washington didn't use a wig. He powdered his real hair.

I think we the people aught to force all our elected representatives to wear a powdered wig or to powder their real hair whenever they meet in session to do the peoples business. Not because it does anything to make them smarter or anything like that. It's just that they don't seem to be doing anything and we are paying them so the least they can do is to get into costume and entertain us on CSPAN.

President Obama said Friday that his new voting-rights commission will help to prevent state officials from engaging in “new tricks” that discourage minorities from voting.

“It’s very important that we work together to make sure everybody gets a chance to vote, and we clear away a lot of this nonsense,” Mr. Obama said in an interview with SiriusXM radio. He added that the country needs more election rules “to make sure that people aren’t waiting in line for six, seven hours, that there aren’t new tricks that discourage people from voting.”

Marlowe, I didn't write the article and it had nothing to do with republicans here in the states.

It was about the IRA because several people had made posts about Ireland and the Irish Republican Army.

They called themselves Republicans (capital R) and you're looking for a fight where their shouldn't be one.

The polls show the same thing although right now you can't convince a right winger of that.

They have an online survey.

WA can speak for herself, but I completely reject the premise of your question and your definition of what is "liberal" and what is "conservative".
I do not believe protecting civil liberties and individual human rights is strictly a liberal concept and if it is then the conservative movement in America has abandoned any claim it once had on morality.
If we did things your way the south would still be segregated, you would still be considered property and it would be a felony for me to be with my spouse.
Despite the fact that you don't use the same radical language of some on the far right, the end result of your world view is every bit as extreme.
I selected the shortest definitions I could locate which provided a brief view of each. I did not dissect each sentence or assume that either definition encompassed all ideologies of either philosophy. I also "do not believe protecting civil liberties and individual human rights is strictly a liberal concept".

What is "my way" Jax? How do these two definitions provide you any insight into my values? I was raised in a conservative home which NEVER supported any type of segregation. Civil and human rights were ALWAYS emphasized as important and just.

How did this simple post in any way determine for you that I am in any way "extreme"? I find your statements as very untrue and insulting. Part of the problem I have identified by reading posts on this thread is that liberals seem to consider moderate conservatives as "extreme" these days.

I have definite and firm beliefs, but I do not consider them radical. I guess being "extreme" is in the eye of the beholder.

Tea Party-Karl Rove war of words escalates: Now they’re calling him a Nazi!

The Tea Party Patriots quickly backtrack after releasing a photo of Rove in an SS uniform as part of a fundraising email.

A fundraising email on Tuesday from the Tea Party Patriots features the image of the Republican uber-strategist...

"Wipe the Smirk Off Karl Rove's Face," the fundraising email said. The photo features Rove's face atop a uniformed SS officer's body from Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany.
