Any republican would have been better than the far left socialist-prog we've been stuck with again.
Unlike you low-information fools, I didn't buy into the lies, slander, and character assassination your party uses against Romney and others to get the socialist-progs reelected.
I believe in personal responsibility and integrity. Leftists don't.
EXACTLY! HARK...I have followed a team around this week...there are STILL many conservative ideas floating around that will make a lot of sense soon from both democrat and republican leadership! The media makes one think the republican idea and stance is all but dead-NOT so! Responsibility and integrity are both still in vogue! MORE so than ever before...too many are in denial! Wonder why? They broke the country with debt but not the mind and America's spirit! HARKEN to the faith that truth and America shall will prevail!

If the world is cold, make it your business to build fires!

LOL I didn't say that it did.
But unlike you and many others I didn't desert the Republican party when they were in so much need of direction. I have stayed even though I haven't liked the road they have recently gone down. I'm not into radical anything. I tend to be a moderate. That's were my party needs to go and I plan to help them get there. We can use all the help we can get.

Never said it wasn't.

I will say progress is much to slow where jobs and the economy are concerned because. let's face it, they are not high on the left wing priority list.

y'all got it backasswards...
years ago, our society operated under different, more restricted mores and guidelines for 'acceptable' behaviour.
as the bar was changed (lowered?) as to acceptable PUBLIC behaviour, some think our society has gone on a downward path.
folks on here constantly harp about ruthless, moral-less, greedy and self-centered 'capitalists'... aren't they both a memeber and reflection of our present society-at-large?
doesn't it make sense that if we want leaders (in pols and bus and mil and rel and edu and ???) to be of good character, that OUR society should ALSO reflect GOOD character? I mean, these 'leaders' aren't imported from some where else, are they?
republicans(?) want to impose the OLD STANDARDS... how about folks that want SOMETHING akin to 'old fashioned values' recognized and RESPECTED again... would those be the 'conservatives' folks like you rant about?
an ideology, like Progressive-ism, that says to hell with limitations on acceptable behaviour AS A MEANS TO GARNER APPROVAL and to win elections, is not the way to go. in the END, when such folks finally get their way, as History has shown REPEATEDLY, is not a society 90% of us DON'T want to live in. it WILL be far more selective and repressive than any thing in OUR past.
quit listening and paying attention to what pols SAY and start admitting and reacting to what THEY DO.
is not OUR Nation WORSE off today than it was 50 years ago?
has not almost EVERY FG program/policy either failed or had an ADVERSE effect on OUR Nation as a whole?
with ALL of our faults, both as a Nation and a Society, 50 years ago we did NOT have the wars, poverty, unemployment, decline in public ed, gridlock, failing infrastructure, illegals, gangs, fraud, mass shootings, fear-mongering, NATIONAL DEBT AND DOUBT that we have today.
during that same period, we have had BOTH Parties in charge at various times... IT'S THE GOVERNMENT, STUDPID!
LIMITED FG, GOOD...
BIG Govt, BAAAAAD!!
remember the 60's? POWER to the PEOPLE! remember?
id-E-ots....
AH, yes the days when one could believe mostly all that was told! What can you even believe EVER these days as truth in leadership, some to mostly-nothing ! POWER to the PEOPLE is dangerous these days "higgans"....look who the majority voted for! It's the gov. AND stupid people!

We need smart people with values and a limited federal gov.- IF America is to become a power house for her people, like those days when "power to the people" really was just that!

We've noticed it, and you've got to admit it, that you hold a pretty bleak future for this country. And for the sake of argument, let's say it's because of liberal political policies. Now I know you don't put much faith in education and learning, but there's a theory in behavioral psychology called "recency bias." It says that people's assumption of the future is closely shaped by the recent past. Recent events are easy to recall, especially if they're traumatic or extreme. So we end up using yesterday as a baseline for what we think will happen tomorrow, systematically ignoring change.
What was your traumatic event? I'll answer for you. I bet it was the loss of the election. But more than that, it was a humiliating loss to you. Since you've basically said you’re a bitter old white man, the loss of your party of bitter old white men (the GOP) to some uppity educated (i.e., elitist?) black man was especially traumatic for you. And from that point on, that single event has clouded your future. So, as the theory says, you end up using yesterday as a baseline for what you think will happen tomorrow, systematically ignoring change.
We've got you pegged for what you are.
And in the name of the Lord... we pray!!!!

AMEN!!!

Good Lord... that was Gospel!!

Neither did I. But by not abandoning the party certainly doesn't mean I support every republican and their ideologies.

I may not agree with the republican candidate - I disagreed with several of Romney's ideas - but there's no way I'm not going to vote.

On the other hand, the liberals on Topix seem to support every democrat unconditionally, no matter how wasteful, biased, or ridiculous the proposed legislation may be.

The only people that any drones might kill in the USA are your radical right wing American dissidents. You know, the kind of radicals who mirror that of Al Qaeda?

This is why the radical right is shitting in their pink panties over this drone issue.

Maybe the NRA should advocate now that American Citizens should have Patriot Missiles and RPGs on top of assault rifles now!!!

You know, we have to defend ourselves against rogue drones now!!

WINK!!!

[W]hen polled, the overwhelming majority of Latinos don’t rank immigration as their most important issue. Only 16% of registered Latino voters that were born outside the US rank immigration policies as their most important issue. Only 14% of registered Latino voters who parents were born outside the US do so, and only 7% of third-generation Latinos do so.

Polls are just as accurate as those that are taking them. If you don't cover enough varity you skew the numbers. The numbers can be skewed by both the questions as well as how those questions are asked.
No La Santa I'll go by the election which took into account the majority of all citizens regardless of ethnicity. Americans want immigration reform that provides legalization.
