Yes, rights apply to ALL citizens, but since those rights aren't absolute they can be restricted. So all 3 y/o can be banned from voting or owning guns, just as all residents of a state can be banned from owning assault rifles.
You're blowing our own absolute argument.
If you admit a 3 y/o can be denied the right to own a gun, then there is nothing unconstituional about denying all 18 y/o from owning a gun.
You just negated the individual right to own guns.
Still you can't see a difference between a law and a right. This country may have laws that other countries don't or vice verse but rights transcend borders and governments. Some countries censure speech and the press but does that mean those people are less deserving of human rights? Women in the middle east are considered property is it proof they as humans have no rights? A government may infringe rights but that never makes those rights non existent.

Trying to lie again? "Assault rifle" has already been proven to have nothing to do with any of these bans trying to pass. Your attempt still fails. You are still a failure.

Arresting some one for having an illegal gun prevents them from using that gun to commit another crime.
Sounds pretty proactive to me.
Conceal carry is just plain cowardly as well as stupid. Open carry or leave it at home.
Just how do you plan on knowing who has an illegal gun BEFORE they use it? Chicago and NY could use your talent. How about just using that crystal ball and telling us who is going to commit any crime anytime. Can you tell who has illegal drugs and who doesn't? Being as most cars can break the legal speed limit please tell us just who's going to do it today. I prefer open carry and do it a lot but the sheep like you get scared so it's best if they don't see it. The sheep are like you, scared! Scared = coward.

It's a shame it took his wife being shot in the head for him to finally come to his senses.
So there IS hope for all of you yet. Maybe I need to shoot all your wives or husbands or kids in the head for you to understand as well?
He nor she has yet given up their guns. Only idiots like you buy their crap.

Can you prove that? So someone gets arrested for an illegal gun, I'm going to assume you mean stolen, or a felon carrying a gun, they get detained for a little while if the gun is stolen, go back to the pen if its a felon carrying. Ok, guy with stolen gun makes bail, and could possibly obtain another gun and commit whatever crime, if he is hell bent on doing do. Can you prove the Felon would have committed a gun crime?
No, that is not proactive. A crime must be committed before an arrest can be made. You can say it prevented a worse crime, but you can not prove that it did.
Why is concealed carry cowardly? Because you may get yourself into something you won't walk away from?
So we should just let felons & other criminals have guns because we can't prove beyond a doubt they will commit a crime with them?

Yep, typical gun nutter wanting criminals to have guns.

Conceal carry is cowardly or you wouldn't be tyring to hide the fact you're carrying a gun. That's why most criminals hide the guns they're carrying as well. At least you have that in common.

Not to mention it's stupid, since it's a lot harder to access a concealed weapon in an crisis than one which is open carried.

Not to mention when a criminal sees you carrying a gun they're more likely to go find an easier target. You're counting on the element of suprise when a criminal targets you; I prefer not to be targeted in the first place.

No. There has to be a reason based on common sense. You know, like he is 3 years old, or he committed and was convicted of a felony.
Three year olds are citizens. Can they vote or carry a gun?
I agree.

As I've been saying all along, EVERY right CAN be restricted with common sense justification. Therefore NO right is absolute, including gun rights.

Thanks for proving my point once again.

Btw, common sense dictates that assualt weapons should be banned, since they are designed to kill as many people in as short a period of time as possible.

I thought you said the government CAN'T infringe on 2nd amendment rights?

You guy really need to huddle up and decide if they CAN or if they CAN'T.

Btw, infringing on a right may not make the right nonexistent, but it makes it pretty much irrelevent. But I do understand your point, since I feel the same way about my right to marry; I'm just realistic enough to know the government CAN infringe on that right and every other right.

Why did you have to ruin it for everyone?

Can the 2nd amendment be repealed?
Even if it was repealed the amendment itself merely secured a pre existing right. With or without the 2nd Amendment the people always have the right to keep and bear arms. Tench Coxe called it the birth right of every American and SCOTUS said the right to keep and bear arms is not dependent on the constitution for its existence.

If you cared about the children you would go after what kills far more children than guns..........

But trolls like you only want to ban things you are scared of.....

In 2004, of all children 1-4 years old who died, 26% died from drowning (CDC 2006). Fatal drowning remains the second-leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for children ages 1 to 14 years (CDC 2005)

Actually NYC is doing a pretty good job of getting illegal guns out of the hands of criminals with their "stop & frisk" laws; that's why violent gun crimes have dropped significantly there. Chicago could learn from NYC.

ANY person with a felony record who is in possession of a gun is in possession of an illegal gun. It's not that difficult to check on felons- if they have a gun, then it's an illegal gun and can be siezed and they can be arrested.

Nope, I don't fear anyone openly carrying a gun, because I know that's a sign they are most likely a law abiding citizen, just like me when I'm carrying. Only cowards & criminals hide their guns.
