A presidency without even a slight accomplishment.

Foreign policy is a disaster. The only consistency is his
devotion to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Domestic policy is in as shambles. His beloved Obamacare
is already in free fall failure, abetted only by his
preferential treatment of large corporations.

There is no sane rebuttal.

Best regard to you and yours.

He has the adolescent idea that visiting other countries
is in itself something of substance when, in fact, they
are nothing more than shows of self-importance. He regards
himself as a rock star in need of all the trappings of
a concert tour.

Can anyone tell us what his most recent 100 million dollar
tour accomplished that could not have been done by e-mail?

At least with Bush the US had status as a global power. Under oblunder they just see an inept fool stuttering when his teleprompter shuts down. The nations that did at least see the US as a power, russia, china, germany, the UK now just laugh at the US prezs clown antics.
See I disagree, and so do most of the world I imagine. The US was respectfully feared up until Bush’s administration. The US has always been exploitative and manipulative but ultimately worked for the advancement of democratic regimes worldwide. They were the best at what they did.

Only in Bush’s administration did the world see the double standards and double dealings of the US. The phony war on Iraq whose base mission was to find WMDs that never existed. The rise of the Mujahadeen/Al Qaeda who were armed and trained by the US and then went rogue and now threaten all allied nations. The illegal renditions, the use of torture, the illegal detention of terror suspects without trial.

These were all things the US has been doing for years. But only under Bush did the world see them in the cold light of day. Add to that the fact that Bush was intellectually challenged, bordering on cretinous.

To the rest of the World, Obama has brought some respectability back to US politics, he is still putting out the fires of anti-American distrust that Bush started. He is an intellectual and a statesmen.

Only Americans seem to hate him, the rest of the world likes him much better than his predecessor.

Nice try, but it won't fly. Your rose-colored glasses lack
the capacity of insight. You fall into the adolescent trap
of blaming Bush, which is not unlike a child who blames his
father when he is caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Your assessment of reality is flawed.

First, Al Qaeda existed before Bush came onto the scene, so
your attempt to blame him for its existence is flawed. Then
you sully his reputation for establishing a prison facility
outside the U.S. and holding prisoners when, in fact, it is
routine procedure for Al Qaeda to execute people summarily,
without trial. They routinely execute, as in the case of a
Catholic priest in Syria who was beheaded. As in the case
of Coptic Christians in Egypt. As in the case of women who
are raped by gangs of Muslims in Egypt by the hundreds.
These are your heroes?

As for Obama having brought "respectability" into US politics,
I ask you for evidence of it. Recent revelations show a
man deliberately violating Section 215 of the Patriot Act ...
the proof being in the words of the man who wrote the words
of Section 215 ... to spy on virtually everyone, especially
on his political enemies.

Intellectual? Sorry, he doesn't come close to the intellect
of dozens of other Americans, some right and some left. He is
valueless cull in the sphere of politics and diplomacy. You
cannot name a single sign of success as the result of his
cynical abuse of political reality. He is a loser of the
worst sort.

I can only speak as someone looking in from the outside. I have no experience of Obama from an American perspective, only a global one.

- Yes Al-qaeda did exist before Bush, but it was Bush’s mishandling of the war on terror that actually put the world in more danger. He didn’t protect the world, he made us all a target. You skilfully avoided the subject of the illegal occupation of Iraq which triggered a backlash on all allied nations.

- It may be routine for fundamental hard-line regimes to use torture, execution and illegal detention. But the USA makes it their business to interfere in regimes that do so. The USA therefore must follow Geneva conventions and Human Rights laws. Otherwise, the USA is no better than those regimes. And that became abundantly apparent during the Bush administration.

- Again, I can only speak for Obama’s global reputation, not domestic. He is considered 50x better than Bush in that he can deliver a coherent sentence without stumbling over his word and he has a clue about global politics and geography. I didn’t compare him to other Americans, I only compared him to Bush. Obama is very much an intellectual and comes across as such. Well mannered, well-spoken and humble. All the character traits that should be expected of a good statesman. For you to criticise his diplomat skills in favour of Bush is laughable to say the least.

Bush made the world hate America, that is the crux of the matter. Obama has done much to reverse that trend. You should thank him. America has nothing if it can’t command the respect of the world.

The fact the China rose to prominence during Bush’s administration says a lot about how the world lost trust in the USA and chose to turn to the Chinese instead.
