Today a young girl was stolen from her school. The kidnapper must have seen a sign that reads, 'Government Authority Takes 30 minutes to Respond'.

Firearms exist to manage situations where rationality has failed, so thinking rationally about them can be hard if not impossible. That's why it is so difficult to argue with most gun-rights advocates – they are not rational. They're a bunch of scared people, led by the NRA, frightened of the world and their ability to manage it. I'm not talking about people who hunt or enjoy target practice; I'm talking about the cult of maximum firepower types. Guns that exist for the sole purpose of killing large numbers of people as rapidly as possible have no place in public hands and should be banned or, at least, left at the shooting range! if you can’t agree with that, well ... you got some serious mental issues!
Do you mean failure to manage situations like this?

Seems to me the scared people are those wanting guns banned. Your imagination has you being shot for no reason. Then you accuse those with firearms of being afraid.

Why would you think I’m afraid? I can overpower most grown men unarmed. I have a lot of guns, a lot of ammo and I’m a better than average shot. I will not miss a man sized target. Why exactly would I be afraid of anything?

What's that yellow stream running down your leg. Could it be fear?

Seems to me that gun gnutters keep insisting everyone who is sick and tired of the gun lovers killing some 32,000+ people are the only ones insisting gun bans.

AKA, the NRA sky is falling rant.

PS: I see your Alabama gun lover is entering day four.

Of course, you would insist he had a right to the weapons he has...

'The gunman ... was known around the neighborhood as a menacing figure who once beat a dog to death with a lead pipe, threatened to shoot children for setting foot on his property and patrolled his yard at night with a flashlight and a shotgun.'

Lawmakers call for probe into 'botched' ATF sting in Milwaukee

“How did ATF—for the second time that we know of—put guns in the hands of dangerous criminals?”

Its what they do. They buy these guns with taxpayer money then sell them to the highest bidder. The ATF puts more guns directly into the criminals hands than anyone else.

Ah FAUX News the reliable purvayor of lies, fabrication and innuendo! Putting guns into the hands of criminals? That honor goes to the NRA - hands down!!! The wingnuz clinging to their guns like a baby clinging to its woobie is reminiscent to the creationist nonsense! We know more about nature and its evolutionary continuum than ever before and we know it clearly and without a doubt, yet here are the wingnuz, knowing it better by regression like a bunch of degenerates! Next time you see a member of Congress pushing a pro-gun agenda, ask them why they feel the U.S. government needs to be overthrown. Ask them why they support terrorism. The Second Amendment has been voided by history and was never in place for any of the reasons the NRA, any senator or congressman has given as a reason for opposing sensible gun regulation since Reconstruction. Besides, the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with gun-control in a modern society!

The idiocy of the loons is beyond belief. Since a criminal commits a crime with a firearm , deny all gun owners their rights. Let us use that logic.
Ban all cars since there are drunk drivers.
Arrest all women since some solicit prostitution.
Arrest all men since some commit rape.
Shut down all newspapers since some make errors.
End all sporting events since someone has to lose and will feel bad.
I used to be able to hold my own if a confrontation turned physical. Hold several belts in martial arts. Strong enough to pick up a car. Now since an injury a 10 year old could work me over. The left think I should be denied the best way to defend myself against criminals. I am still responsible for my safety and that of those in my family. Why should I have have to put my grandchildren at risk because my carrying a gun makes some lunatic leftist wet her panties? I am damn proficient with my firearms. I am still able to shoot my 1911 well. Rifles bigger than 5.56 cause me too much pain to shoot. My 12 gauge has to be loaded with the low recoil buckshot.

A gun lover walks into a public school with an assault weapon the NRA insists makes America a better place and turns twenty children into hamburger and you insist what we need are more assault weapons.

What a shame your grandchildren weren't there at Sandy Hook in that classroom so you could share the prospective of the parents and the grandparents whose children were there.

What a shame it is the gun lovers are all able to live with the "protection" that their tiny-dicked toys by to this country- to the tune of 32,000 people a year.

The Obama administration's Operation Fast and Furious caused more gun related deaths in North America(210) than the Luby Restaurant shooting(23), the VA Tech shooting (32),the Columbine HS shooting(13), the Gabby Gifford shooting(6),the Ft Hood shooting(13),the Westroads Mall shooting(9),the Korean Christian College shooting(7), the Aurora Theatre shooting(12),the Sikh Temple shooting(6)and the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting(27)....COMBINED.

The last known death attributed to Operation Fast and Furious was the murder of a Mexican beauty queen in Nov, 2012. But we all known it is the Obama administration's gift that keeps on giving so stay tuned for future Fast and Furious obituaries.
