Government workers normally unfazed by political gridlock are angry that they will be disproportionately hurt by Washington's inability to reach a deal to avoid some $85 billion in automatic budget cuts due to kick in on Friday.

Do not underestimate Obama. He's already shown that he is willing to spread panic to get his way. And he is doing it over a sequester he himself created! He would be willing to create a disaster too (one example: releasing thousands of criminal illegal aliens). Radicals know no boundaries and believe that whatever advances "the cause" is moral and acceptable.

Job loss is going to cut through the South like a disease. All of the Federal Money spent to prop up low wage paying Red States will hammer Contractors employing Thousands of residents of Southern States employed to service the Federal Government and American citizens.

We will save money, the deficit has been reduced for 3 years, this year's deficit is estimated to come in at $840 Billion, by next year that should be reduced even more by $80 Billion. But there will be less tax revenue because of the loss of jobs.

Then the individuals loosing jobs will be moved to unemployment, so that is a jack up in spending.

But this seems the only strategy the Republicans have to become relevant, Sabotage the economy.

So the sequesters doesn't contain 98% of the cuts in spending Boehner wanted, in exchange for raising the debt ceiling in 2011?

Boehner and Vice President Biden hammered out this deal. Boehner could not be seen as agreeing with Obama after their meetings and the $4 Trillion deficit reduction bill could not be agree to by Boehner because the Tea Party wasn't voting to support anything Obama agree on with Boehner.

Now it's Obama's sequester, which seems exaggerated.

The sequester only exist to protect tax credits and special exemptions for Oligarchs in America? This is part of the strategy to slice away parts of the New Deal and Great Society programs. Note how they are nibbling at social security and medicare while protecting the rebates for the wealthy and connected.

We can only pray that Congress can cut the 20% of govt workers who are unnecessary. It is not too much to ask Govt workers to work as hard as the public who are forced to support them.
