Just the facts, ma'am.
I understand that names are important and don't understand why a parent would plague his/her child for life with a name that will hinder him. Some people are just ignorant. A child with such a name can always change it if he/she so chooses.

I assume you are not blind since you typed this post. Sex abuse by priests, worldwide has been rampant for years. Victims of child abuse rarely speak out because they are terrified and have been threatened by their abusers. Who will believe a child over the beloved priest that has come over for Sunday dinner?
However, as Galt so aptly put it; blind faith allows for abuse to continue.
I feel sorry for you. Go do some reading; it'll blow your mind.

He probably wouldn't survive the anesthesia. Would you agree to your Alzheimers 93 year old parent getting a pace maker? Happens all the time.

People are hired based on personal interviews, in which their race is obvious.

For a professional job, being black is often an advantage if the package is professional. That includes education, clothing, speech, and attitude. Ebonics doesn't cut it, nor do dreadlocks, tattoos, or facial jewelry. A ghetto name indicates an attitude and upbringing that detracts from the package.

Joe Scarborough had some kinder words than usual for President Obama on Wednesday's "Morning Joe."

The panel was discussing Obama's recent outreach on Capitol Hill. Obama dined with Republican senators last week, and will meet with Senate Republicans and Democrats this week to rekindle discussions for a budget deal. The "schmoozing" has been described as "groundbreaking," and unusual for Obama.

In the past two years, Texas legislators slashed funds for family planning and passed up $30 million a year in federal Medicaid money, largely to squeeze Planned Parenthood out of the state's women's health programs. Last week, hundreds gathered at the south steps of the Texas State Capitol in Austin to protest the resulting public health mess: researchers say nearly 200,000 Texas women have lost or could lose access to contraception, cancer screenings, and basic preventive care, especially in low-income, rural parts of the state.

"Loopholes" can be closed, but dumbass Dave might not like some of the loopholes to be closed.

High on the list would be tax credits and subsidies for bogus wind and solar energy projects.

Then there is always the Earned Income Credit.

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley ruled Wednesday that medical marijuana dispensaries must be allowed statewide and individual municipalities cannot legally block them.

The ruling (PDF) was issued by Coakley’s Municipal Law Unit in response to a 2012 bylaw passed by officials in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Two other nearby towns also passed a similar ordinance

Millions of immigrants changed their names over the years to fit into American society.

Black America is moving backwards in this respect out of some false sense of pride (or something). These ridiculous names are a relatively new phenomenon.
