Republicans weigh short-term U.S. budget measure

Jul 29, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Reuters

With time running out for the Congress to agree on next year's budget, some Republicans are pushing for a short-term fix that would delay the confrontation over a government shutdown until November.

Here we go again. The Republicans caving to the Marxist Democrats. Time for a third party. Send the Democrats, and the Republicans packing.

Obama likes weiner.
Right here folks is the stupidity of your average topix poster. I see people around here use the "cut off your nose to spite your face" line and it is completly applicable here.

Obama sucks so lets tank the economy to spite him....then blaim him when the economy sucks. Remember last time when S&P downgraded us, not because of us defaulting but because the politicans couldnt get their shit together? Yeah, we everyone one of us pays more for every dollar which are all borrowed now because of those antics.

Yep, lets go back and do that some more...

You don't think we were downgraded because we have a spending problem? LOL

More obstructionism and incompetence, I'm afraid.

Dems need to take the bull by the horns and come up with an effective budget, then SHOVE it through Congress over the objections of Tea Bag Party lunatics and their ilk. Obama needs to go to the public and shame the right until we're able to get this done.

Sadly, both parties have become used to game-playing, dilly-dallying, and inaction. This is perhaps the most worthless Congress in history.

We were downgraded because Republicans wouldn't agree to raise the debt ceiling as they'd voted to do many times in the past. The debt ceiling isn't "spending," it merely permits existing bills to be paid. Saying you won't pay your bills, or giving your creditors the IMPRESSION that you're going to say that, will get you in trouble as well.

Did you not know that?

The dems wanting to pass a budget....LMAO

How many years has it been since they passed even one budget? The answer is 4 years. The last budget they passed was April 29, 2009. They couldnít even pass the Presidentís budget. The vote for the 2012 Presidentís budget was 97 to 0 against it and for the 2013 Presidentís budget it was 99 to 0 against it.

The Senate needs to step up and do the job they were elected to do. Quite whining and put out a budget proposal and let the debate begin. Budgets are always messy but at least it puts priorities in place.

The dems blame game...really funny stuff.

If Dems would EVER come up with an effective budget, I'm sure it would be passed.

It will be raised because with the liberal press in their pockets, the liberals will be the hero's and republicans the guilty if a government shut down were to occur.

Obama continues to submit budgets, none of which have passed due to GOP obstructionism and Democratic parliamentary gamesmanship. So your statement is demonstrably false.

Which has what to do with budget measures being considered "Marxist," exactly?

At least you're smart enough to realize Obama's submitting budgets, that's more than some others here have been able to understand..

No idea who "Bone boy" is, but Obamacare has had no demonstrably negative effect on the economy or upon tax revenue.

Unless...you can prove differently?:)

hahahah If that were true all the spending you loons claim Bush did means nothing. We didn't get a down grade under Bush pookie.......Obama's moving the goal post on republicans after they had agreed to his terms is when the rating agencies said there is not hope and decided to down grade. It's all there if you look past CNN and MSNBC.
