Yeah thanks WSJ!!!!

Apparently, you do not realize the common sense factor here

The FOLLED are not responsible or guilty of support

The FOOLERS are the guilty ones for manipulating lies and deceit in order to FOOL people into supporting it!

The GOP will not "shed" this ownership until those responsible are JAILED!!!!!!

"How the hell does the blame fall squarely on the republican party"

WOW! Deflect ownership much, because THEY decided to invade and occupy a country and they did it based on a pack of BS Lies, that's why!

You have some catching up to do!!!!

"The Project for the New American Century (PNAC) was an American think tank based in Washington, D.C. established in 1997 as a non-profit educational organization founded by William Kristol and Robert Kagan. The PNAC's stated goal is "to promote American global leadership."[1] Fundamental to the PNAC were the view that "American leadership is both good for America and good for the world" and support for "a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity."[2] The PNAC exerted influence on high-level U.S. government officials in the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush and affected the Bush Administration's development of military and foreign policies, especially involving national security and the Iraq War.[3][4]

The goal of regime change in Iraq remained the consistent position of PNAC throughout the 1997-2000 Iraq disarmament crisis.[6][7]

Richard Perle, who later became a core member of PNAC, was involved in similar activities to those pursued by PNAC after its formal organization. For instance, in 1996 Perle composed a report that proposed regime changes in order to restructure power in the Middle East. The report was titled A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm and called for removing Saddam Hussein from power, as well as other ideas to bring change to the region. The report was delivered to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.[8] Two years later, in 1998, Perle and other core members of the PNAC - Paul Wolfowitz, R. James Woolsey, Elliot Abrams, and John Bolton - "were among the signatories of a letter to President Clinton calling for the removal of Hussein."[8] Clinton did seek regime change in Iraq, and this position was sanctioned by the United Nations. These UN sanctions were considered ineffective by the neoconservative forces driving the PNAC.

It was desired by these people, they were taken into the Bush Administration andf they were going to get THEIR WAR on no matter what, so they lied and fooled many into supporting it!!!!

America will never forget how the neo-cons callously killed our young military soldiers and ruined even more lives with disabilities for the rest of their existence. "All for a damn lie." Everything will always go back to bush/cheney. Forever. And rightly so.

The gall of the WSJ is remarkable!

"There is no way to predict public opinion when a nation goes to war. There has never been a war that has been as popular on reflection; there was only feverish guessing about what could have been done differently.

No decent leader (besides the self-dealing political type) makes important decisions based on how popular he or she thinks they may be in the next election. Example? Show me a leader with the greater number of Twitter followers and I will show you a leader who is consumed with popularity above everything else, including the ability to make tough decisions.

Ms. Noonan writes, "Iraq and Afghanistan have ended badly for the Republicans." How can it be that what ended badly for Republicans has had no effect on Democrats? We have had a Democrat as president since 2009, U.S. troops left Iraq in December 2011 (three years into Barack Obama's presidency), and U.S. troops remain in Afghanistan."

See above for WHY REPUBLICANS are to blame and are Guilty and not Democrats!!!!!!!!!

OMG what a travesty this whitewashing attempt is!

Shame shame shame WSJ and Peggy Noonan, pahlease!!

The same Peggy Noonan who famously said when confronted with the fact that the US Tortured people "sometimes you have to just keep walking", but when considering the Benghazi fabricated scandal, "everyone should answer to the American people"!!

DUMP PEGGY NOONAN!!!!!!!!!!
