No. No. No! that is your religious cults' rite of matrimony. it has absolutely nothing to do with the legal contract of marriage. nothing. nada. zip. zero. nil. Cero.

the fact that you cant even keep these two separat shows you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about on this issue.

no you didnt
your religious cult and theri belifs have nothing at all to do with the legal, binding contract of marriage.

you really need to get this concept straight.

Again you are incorrect.....
Military chaplins were forced to perform these ceremonies, regardless of their religious beliefs...that is an infringement...is it not???
that is because they are gov't employees before they are ministers or priests or whatever they are. they can always quit if they want to.

your cult has absolutely no say in US laws. none.

keep your cult where it belongs, in your tax subsidized church, or you just may lose that subsidy to your faith and watch your church fold like the house of cards it is...

Why do fundietards, teabaggers and righ wingers get so upset over an issue that is not likely to affect their personal lives in any meaningful way? It would appear that they want to impose their bronze age mythology on normal educated people!

yes they are, and following the rules of their jobs in no way prevents them from practicing their cult's rites or beliefs.

if their jobs duties are in conflict with their cult's beliefs, that is a problem they have with their chosen profession.

see...when people are in the real world, they have to abide by real world rules, not those of their cult. when they are in their tax subsidized church, they can then do as they wish.(don't even get me started on how wrong that taxpayer subsidy is if they don't follow federal law...)

Wrong and here's an article for ya:
Gov. David A. Paterson has directed all state agencies to begin to revise their policies and regulations to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions, like Massachusetts, California and Canada.

In a directive issued on May 14, the governor’s legal counsel, David Nocenti, instructed the agencies that gay couples married elsewhere “should be afforded the same recognition as any other legally performed union.”

The revisions are most likely to involve as many as 1,300 statutes and regulations in New York governing everything from joint filing of income tax returns to transferring fishing licenses between spouses.

Did ya notice that Canada was mentioned?
