But now that Sen. Lindsey Graham is on the record as suggesting a boycott of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, the South Carolina Republican says it could be a consideration if Vladimir Putin allows NSA leaker Edward Snowden to remain in his country and continues supporting Syrian President Bashar al Assad.

Lindsey Graham is misguided in trying to boycott Russia.

If Snowden wants to stay in Russia its up to Snowden not Russia or the US.

As for Syria, I say let Russia, China and Iran take care of Syria. Afterall they are fighting Al-Queada. The US should have a hands off policy on Syria and not arm either side. We don't have the resources and we she should be focusing on our own nation and its problems. Like securting our border.

Lindsey Graham should be primarily focusing on fixing our border and forget his meddling in places that are not US interests.

As a Republican and a Southerner I usually agree with Graham on most issues but not this time. Politics has no place in the world of sports and the only thing a boycott would accomplish is to hurt world class athletes who have done nothing wrong but train for this one shining moment. On this one issue Senator Graham needs to shut up and stay out of the lives of sports and athletes. It's one of the few areas where The US and Russia actually get along.

Agree. I think it is a high time to get into the way and methods Russia and America today play their geopolitical games. I myself live in Central Europe and what I can see personally now in the news is actually nothing but another raw attempt on the US behalf to propagate and misrepresent false situation around LGBT in Russia, behind which for sure stands once again that uncovered revenge for the hidden Snowden. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Well, first Russians sucked the blood of Americans... now Americans are out for the blood of Russians. First it was Snowden... now it is "anti-gay propaganda among children" bill being adopted in Russia and the upcoming Olympics. Yes, it really works: they took Russian law banning "gay propaganda among children", thrown out "among children" from the American press headlines and voila... all other the world gays, lesbians and their sympathizers at the top of their voices already hate Russian authorities. And here you're: another weighty argument to claim for boycott of Olympics in Russia.... Big politics in action. Boycott Olympics? Poor measure that yes will harm only athletes. Well, just another load of shit has fallen on a ventilator... nothing serious.

These Olympic Games are likely to be the most memorable.
