Surely Congress can do without the same.

Polls so far show most Americans blame Republicans rather than Obama and his Democrats for the standoff. But that could change.
Republicans insist that any deficit-reduction replacement deal include only spending cuts. Democrats want a mix of spending cuts and tax increases.
According to a February 28 Gallup survey, 56 percent of those polled thought the cuts will damage the economy. The feeling crossed party lines, Gallup reported, with 64 percent of Republicans and 51 percent of Democrats agreeing they would inflict economic pain.
hahaha the new Gallup poll shows that Obama has dropped from the reported 55% approval, to 47% approval, to 45% do not approve. Wonder where that 47% number came from..........mo candy, mo phones, mo free chit.

He had 18 months to make Government leaner and more efficient and opted to once again burn out the clock and blame republicans when the problem didn't fix itself.
This has become a disturbing trend.

You are an uninformed moron to think America is doing good. Obama called Bush unpatriotic because the national debt rose four trillion ($4,000,000,000) in eight years. Under Obama the national debt rose five trillion ($5,000,000,000) in just three years.

Uninformed ignorant people, like you, have no idea the Sequester was Obama’s idea. Rather than to cut ALL FOREIGN AID for the Sequester, programs that help the American citizens are being cut.

This makes as much sense as a broke man borrowing money to give to a bum on the street while making his family do without.

But by continuing Foreign Aid Obama can provide aid to Muslins like he did during his first term when he gave nearly a billion dollars ($1,000,000,000) to rebuild a Muslin Mosque. This is just one of many things Obama did to help Muslins.

The democrats were the ones that wanted slavery so basically it was the democrats that lost the Civil War and not the South. Ever since the democrats lost the Civil War they have been trying to destroy America a second time and what better way than to bankrupt America.

Foreign aid is only one percent of the budget. Social Security, Medicare and military spending equals 80 percent of the federal budget, and those are the three largest spending items. Look it up on the National Debt Clock.

We have always had foreign aid. Obama did not start foreign aid, and I don't see any of the Repubs requesting any cuts to foreign aid. The ONLY ones who did so are Ron Paul and Rand Paul, the Libertarians.

In five more years, just Social Security and Medicare spending will be using up 97 percent of the federal budget, squeezing out military spending altogether, and if no cuts are made to SS and Medicare, federal spending will have to go up $3.5 trillion more per year to pay the baby boomers Social Security and Medicare. I knew that from the unfunded liabilities in SS and in Medicare, but it was also just on Fox News. If SS and Medicare have $122 trillion in unfunded liabilities, unpaid for promises, and it has to be paid out over the next 20-30 years to the retiring baby boomers while they are retired, then divide about $120 trillion by 30 years, and so you see you need about $4 trillion each year to pay out those huge social programs (socialism). And, no tea party person wants to do away with those socialist programs, and they do not want one cut to those two programs, making the tea party the big, huge spenders and the ones demanding running up the debt.

What everyone does is they say to cut spending but they never even look to see where the money is going. As soon as they find out SS and Medicare are most of the spending, oops, they don't want their socialism cut, they don't want any cuts. They want cuts until they find out their stuff has to be cut, then they go on and on about cut welfare, don't cut them. One guy said it on Neil Cavuto's show yesterday. He said that the viewers are big hypocrits that say to cut spending but they are the ones using up most of the budget on their social programs.

Cutting 84 billion when you borrow $1 trillion a year, still leave you borrowing $916 trillion per year, so if you can't even cut $84 billion, what in the hell is going to happen when you have to cut the other $916 billion in order to stop borrowing money? And, that doesn't support the $500 billion a year we are paying on interest on the debt, nor does that solve paying down the debt, and, on top of all of that, the SS and Medicare entitlements will need an additional $3 trillion per year paid out to the baby boomers, so in reality we need to cut $122 trillion out of SS and Medicare spending over the next 20 years and we need to cut another $916 billion in spending and we need to cut another $500 billion in spending to start paying down the debt. Think that is going to happen? We will simply default on the debt and end SS and Medicare in 5 more years or so.

And what is really sick is how the people deny, deny, deny that most of the spending is on the stuff they want. NO matter every cable news channel has now pointed out that SS and Medicare is where the big debt and big spending are, no matter CNN, MSNBC, Fox says so 5,000 times, everyone blocks it out, pretends they never heard of it. They heard it, they all heard it a million times, they heard it loud and clear, they don't want to admit it. They operate from greed only. they want their government money no matter what, and so they refuse to hear the truth. It's the definition of greed to insanity, and it really shows the sociology of groups of people.

Once you get groups of people dependent on the government, there is noting anyone can say to them to get them to agree to stop.

I saw it years ago first on Glenn Beck's show - he showed the $120 trillion of unfunded liabilities in SS and Medicare on the National Debt Clock, yet everyone who followed Beck refuses to admit it, they deny he ever said it and wrote about it in his books. It's all blind greed of money.

Then I saw the federal spending pie charts on CNN, on Elliott Spitzer's show a few years ago. That said it all. He showed it a million times. 80 percent of federal spending is going to SS, Medicare and military spending. He had guests on for months asking each one of them which of those three items do they want to cut. Yet, here again, every tea party person pretends they never heard about it, they have no clue where the money is being spent. It's like when they get the information, if it means cuts to the stuff they are on, they lie they never heard it and they block it out 5,000 times.

The government will have to rip that money out of their hands at gunpoint. Mike Gallager was saying this on The O'Reilly Factor the other night. He said it just like I do - he said you just cannot get that entitlement mentality out of their heads no matter what you say to them. The government is going to have to start screaming at the tea party and say "what part of this are you not hearing and how many times do you need to hear the same thing before you hear it?"

liberals is not capital, neither is country or president.

The U.S. collapsed at the end of Bush's terms. It collapsed in total and then a big liberal has collapsed it even more. If you deny both parties did it, both parties ran up all of that debt, both parties have no clue what they are doing, all you will do is put one party back in and then the country collapses again. If you put Ds in, the country collapses from welfare spending, if you put Rs back in, the country collapses again from war spending, spending on oil companies, oil wars, and spending on defense contractors and on the mega banks that are too big. Unless you get rid of both parties and go Libertarian and turn off ALL of the corporate media, all of the fake news channels and read books and think for yourselves and get rid of both parties, you have no chance in hell.

People think small and low. They want to make it up that all was well when the country collapsed under Bush, totally collapsed and make it up this other guy on the other side did it all. No. Bush did it for the defense contractors and for the mega banks and for the oil companies and now Obama is doing it for the government workers and for the people on welfare.

People will stay on the crazy talk about the Ds did it or the Rs did it until in another year the country collapses in total and then once the environment is destroyed in total by fracking for gas and shale oil, you have nothing left, no clean water, the ocean will be a dump, no more food, no more oil, nothing left, and we all die, only then will everyone wake up and realize both parties took the country down. Everyone should have elected Ron Paul, stopped the spending and been done with both parties, and, if people in this country were smart, they would have turned off both MSNBC and Fox years ago and read books and taken the lead themselves.

Those fake news channels keep you all thinking ONLY about blaming one party and being for the other party, when the truth is both parties did all of it. Those fake news channels are the problem.

That's not asking your representative for much, being that a quarter of the working population in Texas earn so little in wages they do not pay Federal Income taxes.

Texas gave the nation George Bush, who came to Washington and immediately implemented policies that lead to the 2008 collapse and bankruptcy of America.

You're over reacting, America collapsed and Fell apart in Sept 2008 some time before the Election that vaulted President Obama into the White House.

America was full of prosperity before the Republicans and George Bush came to being in Jan 2001

America was a failed State in Dec 2008. GDP was shrinking, prosperity that Bill Clinton set the course was retarded by Bush/Republican policies.

The rise in national debt these last 4 years is driven by Tax Policies and spending legislation implemented by Republicans and signed into law by George Bush, namely those Wars. Those policies signed between 2001 and 2008 are strangling America still today with the intent of multiplying debt in order to justify defunding New Deal and Great Society social safety net programing.

The current debt, caused by the Bush Tax polices; are reason one by the Republicans to begin an open assault on Social Security and Medicare. Already they have pillaged social programs like Children Health Care, and Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels to protect the special tax avoidance policies for the well connected and affluent.

Those are the Taxing Policies that turned budget surpluses into record deficits and, are the policies the Republicans today are fighting tooth and nail to maintain in place even as they continue to wreck America's economy and financial standing.

The root cause of the fiscal disaster is those Tax policies Bush and the Republicans implemented in 2001 and 2003, those tax policies granting special privileges to avoid tax obligations to the affluent and wealthy, along with spending legislation tided to the wars and medicare prescription programs continues to drive the American debt even while this President enacts historic spending reduction legislation.

The Republicans are shorting seniors and taking food off their table to protect and keep in place those privileged tax incentives for the Wealthy.

In short, this is nothing but the GOP doing the work for the Plutocrats and Oligarch who brought corrupt politicians.

WOW!

‘We the People’ picked who we deemed best to run the country for another 4 years; DEAL WITH IT. Blacks reject the republican Party because we know that they are the racist Party.
