Your point? JFK was shot while under the protection of a dozen well trained and well armed Secret Service agents.

Gun control freaks want universal background checks so they will have a bigger pool of violators that they won't prosecute.

Over 90 percent of Americans want universal background checks.

And around 9 percent of Americans are felons.

I wonder what percentage of the ten percent who want the right to sell to felons are felons?

How like a gun gnutter to paraphrase when the quote doesn't work for him:

“And to your point, Mr. Baker, regarding the lack of prosecutions on lying on Form 4473s, we simply don’t have the time or manpower to prosecute everybody who lies on a form, that checks a wrong box, that answers a question inaccurately.”

Eh, DL? Lick that one.

Why is it the population of people in the US who don't want universal background checks is the same as the felons in the US?

And THAT is your biggest problem. You fail to see that you will NEVER stop all gun deaths. It is a mathematical impossibility. And the methos you choose to implement your attempt at doing so, has been PROVEN to do the exact opposite of what you are trying to accomplish.
>>Proven when, by whom? Since they haven't been implemented here in the U.S., your claim is unproven. Since strong gun laws of the type I endorse HAVE worked in Australia, your claim is in fact demonstrably FALSE.
This is not opinion or speculation "professor", this is a FACT.
>>Facts aren't what you want them to be, sorry.
Disarming people for their own safety does NOT make them safer. It leaves them defenseless to those who will not abide by any law. Even if you takle away all the guns, the bad guys will use machetes. Take away machetes, they will use knives, rocks, pipes, whatever they can find in order to victimize the innocent.
>>The tired "they'd use some other weapon" argument. Boring.
But I guess you feel that is OPK becasue they won't be using a gun to do it, right?
>>Wrong, asshat. But I AM trying to deal with the gun PROBLEM, while you're trying to evade a solution.
Why do you think all these mass shootings occur in "gun-free" slaughter zones?
>>Because that's another NRA talking point (and a false one, incidentally)?
You are fucking clueless.
>>Look in the mirror for an update on that, asshat.:)
For someone who always screams "where is your proof?" where is yours that gun control stops crime? Australia has 4x the violent crime rate as us but you fail to mention that. Trading one criminal activity for another is not a solution. You deny the mass shootings are in gun free zones but they are so yet another lie and failure. Why do you still post on a public forum where you have been proven a liar over and over again? Do you enjoy being made a fool of? Do you have mental issues?

Opps. Looks like you can't keep up. Your little pole was debunked. They only poled areas where anti gun laws were already in force and avoided gun rights areas. Your own network admitted the pole was intentionally bias like the other lies they have been caught telling. You liberals just never learn that your lies is no substitute for the truth. Hell you can't even tell a good one or stop getting caught at it. Ha Ha Ha.

Because it doesn't.

" A report recently issued by the National Academies Press (an independent organization first founded by congressional charter in the 1860s) has a relevant comparison. For violence (excluding suicide and war) per 100,000 people: United Kingdom -- 1.14 incidents; United States -- 6.47. The U.S. is the most violent country of the 17 developed countries assessed, and is about three times as violent as the next-closest. Finland. Australia and South Africa are not included in the study, but figures gathered from the United Nations show Australia at 1.57, much lower than the U.S., and South Africa at 126, the worst in the world, probably.(South Africa is a red herring, however, since it is really two countries economically, with the second-largest income disparity in the world.)"

That's funny... laws have already been passed and on the books in NY and Colorado, and the universal background check bill is still in the Senate.

You also insisted draft dodger Romney would be elected.

90 percent of Americans support background check.

Nine percent of Americans are felons.
One percent of Americans are members of the NRA.

Ten percent of Americans are against background checks.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

LOL...hardly the same situation, doofus. Giffords was shot face-to-face by a gunman in the same building, while the SS had to deal with a concealed assassin high in a building overlooking a street!

Ridiculous.

According to the latest poll, support for stricter gun control laws has dropped by 10%.

True dip, but Gifford didn't have any protection because she didn't think she needed it while the president has an elite force designed to keep him alive and that includes surveillance of buildings in the vicinity.
