I never thought I would see the day when ammo was rationed. I had to wait in line at Dicks and was allowed to buy one box of 22 shells. several people were buying all they could buy and then would return form their vehicle to buy more.

They won't overlook loading components. Remember not to long ago you couldn't buy a primer.

The ONLY .22 ammo my local shop has is some hi-grade Olympic target stuff-at $8.99/box. Definately not plinking rounds. But its ALL he could find available from HIS suppliers.

" We only need to ask one simple question to determine “what could have set the teenage gunman off.” That question is: What psychiatric drug was he taking or withdrawing from? Sometimes simple questions are the hardest to ask. That question would be hard for the media to ask, because after reporting the event, taking station breaks for advertisements for antidepressants and sedatives might give big media editors and producers indigestion, since their very existence depends on Big Pharma sponsorship. That question would be hard for some politicians to ask because it might jeopardize Big Pharma campaign contributions ...

If you made 22 ammo the only stuff to make would be the $8.99/box stuff.

The name didn't look familiar, but then I avoid $8.99/box ammo. As I said,it was THE only ammo his supplier had. He normally doesn't carry this stuff. Too hi-brow for around here. Anybody DOES buy it they'll put it on a shelf and save it. Almost too expensive to shoot for plinking. Even the domestic ammo producers make several grades of .22 ammo. From the dirt cheap stuff to hi-grade hunting/target ammo. But $8.99? Too steep for this man.

IF they can get supplies to dole out..22? I've been buying it for YEARS and putting it by. Maybe someting like just over 7,000 rounds of mixed stuff. I'd have to work overtime to shoot it all before I croak. I just hope this flapdoodle doesn't affect 3F black powder. I shoot it in my Hawken(.45 & .50 cal) and am down to 1 1/2 pounds now. Plenty of caps but...... Pyrodex? Plenty of Pyrodex. But I save that for the cannon. Won't shoot it in MY Hawkins. I usually buy it when it gets marked down at Wal~Mart after muzzle loading season is over.

I used to reload so I have ammo cans full. I sold several guns so first I went to the range and shot up all the ammo for the guns I sold. I got a great new ,270 and a .223. I sold my o6. It wasn't accurate enough for me. I love my .308 and my 6.5x55 and 7x57. They all have great glass on them and are very accurate. I sold the most beautiful 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser that I bought it in the grease about 15 years ago, It was made in 1905 and I had a new perfect bayonet and frog. The dealers mouth was watering. They have shut down all those guns from Europe being sold here. Those were the days
