Who said the GOP is worried about millionaires?
Given the fact that the top 10% of wage earners in this country pay 71% of all federally collected taxes, I think they should have some representation when the vultures come back for even more.
What Republicans realize is that taxation causes reaction. Liberals think that when government comes after people for more money, they just stand in line holding their wallets open and their eyes shut as government pulls out the bills.
There is no truth to this. If you don't believe me, look at the wealthy moving out of liberal areas like NYC, Mass. Cali. Look at the millions of jobs that went overseas.
Yes, there is a problem with American household incomes which decreased during the DumBama administration. Obviously, most Americans are not concerned about household income. They reelected the moron.
But it's like my father always said "Son, making money isn't the problem. An idiot can make money. The problem is people being able to keep their money."
That brings us to Commie Care. The IRS released data that suggests that once Commie Care is fully enacted, it will cost $20,000 per year for a family to have health insurance. Tobacco users are about 20% of our country, yet, in spite of DumBama promising people making under $250,000 per year will see no new taxes of any kind, he's responsible for the largest increase in cigarette prices; a sin tax on top of tobacco manufacturers increasing their prices with expected decrease in sales.
What are these people who suffer low household incomes going to do when they have to use what they have leftover to pay the $2,400 fine for not having healthcare insurance? That's a big bite out of middle-class income. And of course, the fines get higher and higher by the year. Then they have to worry about their utility bills. DumBama closed down many coal fired electric plants and the ones he allowed to remain open had to pump millions into their existing plants which gets passed down to the consumers.
So between utility bills, healthcare insurance, sin taxes, healthcare fines, ATM card fees, tobacco fees which statistically, most smokers are lower to middle-class, it's clear that Democrats are not worried about the money in the pockets of middle income earners. In fact, Democrats are the enemy of middle-income earners.
What friggne moronic rant, at least you are well versed with wingnuz talking points! Stop it with the mega stupid talking points or do you honestly think lower taxes for the super wealthy is fair or even logical? People who make their money in wages (paychecks) pay taxes at a higher rate, while those who get most of their income from investments pay at lower rates or nothing at all. Remember, there is a big difference between “wealth” and “income”! The wealthiest 1% of families, in this country, owns over 35% of the nation's net worth, the top 10% of families owns over 75%, and the bottom 40% of the population owns less than 1%. Please, all you wing-nuts, pull your heads out of your collective rectum.

Lol, if we are going to do that, why not start with restricting the right to vote to those that actually pay taxes.
That should stir some emotion.
Add to that own property.

LMFAO! wolf that cried wolf. Republican officials, who have used hysteria about alleged voter fraud as an excuse to support measures that disproportionately block Democratic voters, are furiously trying to distance themselves from a growing number of GOP voter registration drives that either submitted false applications or threw away authentic ones.

The incidents might have been overlooked if not for the GOP's clamorous campaign to restrict registration drives, purge voter rolls, roll back early voting, and pass voter ID laws that opponents point out have the effect of depressing the vote among minorities, the poor and other generally Democratic constituencies.

As one Southern California alt-weekly put it, it's turning into a story of "The Wolf Who Cried Wolf."

The latest drama began to unfold on Oct. 17, when the manager of a Tuesday Morning discount store in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley saw a man throwing a garbage bag into the store's private dumpster. Inside the bag was a file folder containing eight completed Virginia voter registration forms.

The manager described the man to Rockingham County sheriff's deputies, who the following day arrested Colin Small, 23, a voter registration drive contractor for the Virginia GOP -- and charged him with eight felonies and five misdemeanors related to the destruction and disclosure of the applications and obstruction of justice.

NRA Members Disagree With NRA Leadership: Those On Terrorist Watch List Should Not Be Able To Buy Firearms
A recent Government Accountability Office (GAO) report found that individuals on the federal terrorist watch list were able to purchase firearms and explosives from licensed U.S. dealers 1,119 times. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I) told the Senate Homeland Security Committee this month that Congress should close this “terror gap” in the nation’s gun laws.“If society decides that these people are too dangerous to get on an airplane with other people, then it’s probably appropriate to look very hard before you let them buy a gun,” he said.

During the hearing, Bloomberg actually encountered some GOP opposition to this seemingly noncontroversial suggestion. Moreover, the NRA strongly objects to closing the “terror gap,” calling legislation dealing with the issue “21st Century McCarthyism.” Bloomberg is “abusing the word ‘terrorist’ to resurrect and pursue a gun-control agenda,” an NRA spokesperson said.
